I give high fives for tips. One high five equals one dollar. So, if you get ten, then you are living large!

And, if you refuse my tip, then I take it down low wit da diss out my backside u frickin wanker! I touch your POS device with uncleansed samonella hands!

Apple's first unionized store wants customer tips.

    Just came back from Japan.
It was amazing to just pay for stuff and not worry about calculating tips or offending people. restaurants. taxi. Coffee…

best part: the people were 1000x nicer than the ungrateful bastards here getting 20%.

Probably the best service I have gotten anywhere.

Order at the counter, person brings you food. They’re in the dining area if you need anything but they politely leave you alone. What’s the tipping protocol there?

No tip unless I'm feeling froggy at the checkout counter/POS.

Generally I only tip the following:

Personal care services (massage, hair, etc)
Hospitality (bell hops, concierge, waiter, bartender, etc)
    Logistics (movers, assembly, etc)
    Transport (taxi, valet, etc)
    Kids (baby sitting, entertainment, etc)
    Pets (Grooming, etc)

If you fall outside of those buckets, it's gonna take something fairly exceptional for me to tip you.

Lot of Europe is like that as well. Surprised me. I still tipped some even in Europe. I don't know what they thought of me, haha. Primarily for like tour guides and stuff though. Not at restaurants / coffee shops.

Since you feel obligated to fill every begging open hand, I expect you tip me every time I read one of your posts

Eh, I just hate this current mashup of tipping almost everywhere.

Yeah had the good old iPad turnaround at Crave cupcakes today when I ordered two cupcakes to go. Strangely I felt badly when I didn’t tip but damn…putting two cupcakes in a box?

I feel the same way when I get a donut and coffee at my local bakery and they turn it around and the tip info is staring at me..........I sheepishly hit "NO TIP" and feel kind of bad, I know I shouldn't, the funny part is they still have the tip jar out and if my order is $4.50 I normally toss the other .50 in the jar....mostly because I dont want to carry change around
