TimeWarner DVR - missed recording ?

I had my DVR set to record a show last night and found nothing this morning. I went to the list option and it showed that it was still set to record all shows in that time slot like I had set it for. So why didn't it record it last night?

You probably had it set to record Survivor or another "reality show" It did you a favor.
