In my house I have 3 rooms with cable, but only the living room has the digital cable converter. Now I think I heard on a radio commercial today that Time Warner said that there is no extra charge for digital cable in extra rooms. Does this mean I can get two more converters for no charge?

Also with the DVR, do you just exchange the digital converter for DVR or is there another charge for DVR?

    thanks

i think there's a monthly fee for "leasing" the extra digital converter. when i exchanged my digital receiver for a DVR/HD converter there was no charge. however, i think there's a monthly fee of about $2-4 for the DVR service.
time warner will get it's money somehow.
    good luck.

You have to pay a monthly charge for each coverter you take home, unless they've decided to change the rules. You would also have to exchange your regular cable converter for the DVR. TimeWarner charges extra $ monthly for the DVR service (no charge on the exchange, but make sure to bring in your remote with the old converter), but it's so worth the money.
