I got a letter from Time Warner today saying that they will begin charging $3/month for the cable modems. WTF. I think they already charge people enough money. This is stupid.
Grrr....damn TimeWarner and Comcast So..is TimeWarner starting to charge cable modem rental because Comcast already does it elsewhere? Is this only in Houston? This letter was from TimeWarner and didnt mention Comcast but you maybe right because it said that the account number will be changing as well.
I think its because Comcast is taking over the Houston market... any chance of a speed upgrade? I hear some people get 16/1 with Comcast Powerboost
Yeah I read somewhere that as a part of the switch cable modem owners would be charged 3 bucks per month.
Anyone know anything about Phonoscope? One of the apartments I'm thinking about moving into uses them. I guess anything is better then the dreaded TVMAX, which is what I have now.
I have phonoscope here in midtown at my apartment. It used to be crap, but it is good now. They have like 14 HD's, but no TNT, and the cable modem is fast. Pretty cheap too.
I'm just pissed that ESPN2HD has been out for like 2 years and Time Warner still hasn't added it. I also want GolTV
LOL ... thats funny.. But sometimes ESPN2 shows NBA games and they did show some UH football games as well...
Has anyone seen that Gieco commercial w/ the caveman going through an airport and see the offensive poster (offensive to him). There is a song playing on that commercial that my wife is dying to know who sings the song and the name of the song? please help.
Oh I miss phonoscope, they're one of the best. If I'm not mistaken I still have an intrnet modem, I forgot to return it. if any of you guys want it, let me know.
Royksopp - Remind Me Yes, "Time Warner", is adding a 3 dollar charge for modems , and possibly other things in the near future. Once the Time Warner name is dragged through the mud with all the changes, the name change to Comcast will occur. Hmm, I wonder if you change to Earthlink, if you will still have to pay the 3 dollars. Maybe, maybe no. If you by some chance you have your own cable modem, that 3 dollar fee is waived, obviously. If I come across any info for you guys out of thin air, I'll post it here in about 10 days.
Comcast sucked in Dallas...TW won't be any better...at the end of the day, we're all getting put over a barrell with cable...
