Ah, yes, Missouri. Home of the Royals. More specifically the home of Carlos Beltran, who wants out of KC. You see, Beltran is a cf who can be a 30-30 man for the rest of his career.

And the Astros have prospects galore for sale.

How about Ward(he can hit better than last year), Redding, and two good lower level prospects for Beltran. We lost 14 mil in payroll with Mlicki and Shane, and at least 7 if Shane reaches all his incentives, which is doubtful. And getting Vlad would be near impossible, of course if the price is similar I want Vladdy.

    All that said...............

    Go get this guy Gerry!

Im all for shaking things up. As it is, we will not be competitive. We will win some games, but not much more than we will lose. Im confident in our starters. One more hitter and a couple bullpen dudes and I think we may be back in the race.

I was slightly encouraged by what I read from Gerry this morning in the Chronicle. he sounded like a guy who intends to make a deal.

if we could get anything for adam everett, I'd be thrilled.
