I think its time for RA to start experimenting more with the rotation. I want to see Joey Dorsey and Von Wafer in the game...maybe even some luther head playing SG (never pg).

Head in my opinion is the best off ball mover we have on the team. Von Wafer has a nice shot and looks as though he can attack the basket. Dorsey is a backup C that we need to crash the boards and do some dirty work. We've been getting bullied way too much by shorter bulky centers like perkins, davis, etc....Dorsey needs to start hurting some people.

Yao has soooooo much to work on...what happened to the big man on the high post like miller in Sac? Miller made a living off those shots and he's a bum. If yao would step back instead of crash in when someone drives he'd give the person that drives a way out and himself an open J...if he does this he'll spend less energy playing with somebody on his back and have more energy to play a ounce of D.

Artest has been great in my mind. and tmac looked solid besides the Lakers game....hey at least he's making his free's. Yao is the biggest problem on the team next to rafer.

I think if Yao stays on the high post it will open up the middle for other players to drive. The offense has no spacing as is. Everytime someone drives theres already another defender there from another teammate.

AB isn't too shabby moving off the ball...

But I agree... I'd like to see some of Dorsey banging and some Von Wafer slashing in a smashing on people.

Yeah AB has been one of the brightest things so far but we definitely need a starting pg to set the pace and all. I think brooks is a better player than rafer but he isn't quite a starter since he's more of a scorer than a distrubuter.

Don't get me wrong I like chuck hayes but I don't think we can really get away with us going a whole season with him being our backup C.

    What if the starters are

    Yao
    Landry
    Battier
    Tmac
    Alston

    Then the 2nd unit

    Scola
    Hayes
    Artest
    Barry
    Brooks

    Will it work?

If you think are team defense is bad now, just watch what happens when Wafer and the inexperienced Dorsey get in there.

We need Battier back and to trade for an experienced, defensive-minded, rebounding big man that is not too undersized to play PF or C.

Your proposed lineup is worth a shot IMO. Artest and TMac just don't compliment each other, granted they have only played together for 7 games.

Hope Francis can back soon,so our starters are:
    1.Tracy
    2.Francis
    3.Battier
    4.Scola
    5.Yao
Maybe Adelman wont give Francis much time,so we need a shooting guard,I have no appropriate candidate,Morey need to do some trade,I dont think Tracy can do SG good, and Ron as 6th man.

Von Wafer, being a three point specialist will Adelman ever give him a chance to play?
If he does he must play with AB who knows how to set him up! :p

i would swap scola and landry. the first unit is a slower unit and scola is a better post up player than he is in transition. if u have the 2nd unit as:

    Brooks
    Barry
    Artest
    Hayes
    Landry

then u have a potentially deadly run and gun team with barry and AB spotting up or slashing. Artest and Hayes for lockdown D. and if Artest is feeling his shots then even better. surprisingly Yao actually plays better with the second unit. i still question alstons ability to get yao the ball. and with landry, hayes, and artest in for rebounding; yao can feel free to play forward or center. let T-mac be the center piece when he is playing. that way he wont be so lost out there. just my opinion. i've only seen 3 regular season rockets games this season, but that's what i saw.

Chemistry is not created during practise, its created during real games.

This is why Adelman is trying to play all the key rotational players as much as possible. Presumably, after every game, they go back to the drawingboard to work out whats working and whats not. If we suddenly bring in all these new players, it will take longer for the chemsitry to set in

Didn't the Rockets start slowly last year, too? Is that a characteristic of Adelman teams?

Luther should never take a part in our rotation until he gets a brain into his HEAD, but I've seen no hope that'll happen.

Dorsey is also lacking in a pretty good brain but he can help us with his muscles and defense, so I expect him to have some minutes on court.

Yao has said he is 100% now but... ... Yao seems a decade older than he was before he get married last season. Is marriage the tomb for the professional players? Rafer is still not married so he is pretty dynamic at age 32. tmac and yao are less dynamic than rafer because they both get married.
so when you get a ring from your wife, you should understand that you'll never be able to get another ring from david stern.

Way too early to be talking about emptying the bench and sitting rotation players. Factor in who this team lost to when looking at the 4-3 record.

if you are going to call someone out, back it up. what he said was true, head IS the best cutter, aldeman already admitted that. problem is. he can't finish for notin. von wafer is a good shooter, at least in preseason, so test him out, who knows? landry turned out to be a godsend after we stuck him out there. i dont know how i feel about dorsey, and i agree yao is a big problem right now, he just isn't feeling right and i can't tell if it is his injuries, conditioning, or what. but he is causing way too many turnovers and it seems like it could be a chemistry issue, maybe. i'm no expert, but i think something is crazy wrong when yao misses that many freethrows in one game : O
