Westbrook should have gotten 15 minutes to get acclimated to game condition. Now they are bringing him into a fire for an almost must win (after losing 2 straight), and the guy hasn't played in weeks. What's the difference between 2 days when Russ is jumping up and down on the sidelines? Oh, so now he is healthy enough? Dumb.
Westbrook hasn't done much positive in the bubble either.... I'm worried about him. If we use him correctly in the offense, it's exactly what we're missing. If we don't... we're going to amplify what's been going wrong (turnovers at key times, low % shots, letting Paul & Dort's physicality and ref studidity get in our heads)
I'm with you on this. I'm not a fitness expert or a doctor or anything but does an additional 2 days rest actually make a difference here? He looked good during the drills and if he says he can play then let him play. Rockets being cocky here or what? Idgi...
There is no doubt hes gonna be in next game. This is finally are team, i suppose we blow them out too. Rockets lets go!!!!
So many posters here dismissed CP3 and the Thunder like they weren’t ****. Basically guaranteed a sweep or 5 game series. Now we relying/hoping/wishing for Westbrick to “save us”. What could possibly go wrong? https://www.sbnation.com/platform/a...westbrook-damian-lillard-thunder-nba-playoffs
I really don't want to rush Westbrook back for this series. Ideally, he would be "active" for game 5, but never need to actually play. We were a few bad plays away from sweeping this series without Russ, despite some terrible shooting and seeming complacency last couple games. And with regards to the complacency, while I jest in some threads, I think there may really be a part of some of our guys' subconscious that was not worried about extending this series for the sake of getting Russ more time to rest. We don't/shouldn't need him to win this.
the fact is this is now a best of 3 series and the thunder now have confidence they did not have a couple of games ago. anything can happen in this bubble. we need westbrook so Mike D wont run james into the ground we need his energy late in games we need him to start getting into better shape before facing the lakers. we arent rushing him back. for a low level strain the timetable to heal says he should be ready to go now. its time
