    Time to appologize

    Dear Tracy McGrady,
I am very sorry about what I said about you in the off-season, you are not a cry baby looser who will never bring good to Houston. I feel that I did not give you a fair chance, I was too attached to Steve Francis, Mobley, and the box of cracker jacks we traded (no, not Cato, the actual box of cracker jacks). I also would like to appologize to you about all those cracks I made about you not going to college, those were greatly uncalled for.
Above all you make me believe again, you and Yao honestly are fun to watch, the team is fun to watch. I now open the floor to all those who were Steve Francis fans who now see the light. But just because I am appologizing about the T-mac thing, I am not going to appologize about Van Gundy, I still hold strong in those views, maybe two or three championships might change that view.
Do I have any takers with me?

Its not the fact that we won last nite, I didn't see the game actually, its the effect of T-Mac, Houston actually gets some respect now, I used to say I am a Rockets fan and people would laugh at me. In Tucson games are never tellevised, I saw maybe 26 games last year, this year I can watch over 40, the effect is far more important than the action itself. I mean even after we won 2 championships everyone and there mother said "if Jordan was still in the league Houston would have lost", now what do those losers have to say? Thats what I thought.

For the record I never bashed T-Mac but was verrrrrrrrrry hurt and sad to see Steve and Cat go. I have watched every single Rox game this season (even the frustrating yawners in the early part of the season) and must admit that the deal was the right one to do. I still follow and route for steve but all I can say about T-Mac is WOW!!! The guy is unbelievable, he has that intagible "IT". He makes it look so easy and plays so calm. There are few athletes like him in any sport. The guy is averaging 30 + PPG since the end of December (WOW!!!). He reminds me of Zinadine Zidane (French soccer player) in that his play is so calm, graceful yet dominating, he is amazing to watch. I am glad we have him for the next 7-8 years and even then he will only be 34-35!!! Barring major injuries he could be a Rocket much longer. Peace.

Respect to you for admitting you changed your mind.

I was sorry to see Cat and Steve go, but I really thought Steve and the Rockets would be better off. Just like when I got divorced, my ex and I are both a lot better off now than we were when we were together.

I even hated to see Cato go. But after seeing him pull Sura's foot out from under him, I'm glad he's gone.

    Still miss Cat, though.

That is a perfect comparism. Zidane is just "weirdly" great. Another good comparism is Ronny of Barcelona and Tom Brady of New England. Those guys make the plays look too easy to the average fan.

PIzza, tmac informed me that you apology has been accepted. Now Mac is waiting for Rocket River to profer his apology.

The aura of Zidane is dying fast. ;) R.Madrid shoud put him on bench. He is aging and Madrid needs a defensive minded mid field.
I dont think Zidane has that killer instinct excpet that one big final '98. Tmac can score in bunches. Tmac is more like Henry. :D

Yeah he is not the dominant player he was in 98 but he still carried that weak French squad in the '04 Euro Cup. The guy is amazing, he just has or had greatness all over him. He made everyone around him so much better than they really were.

You really think so? Portugal was a disappointment for France. He is just not the player he once was when he was in Juventus. He doesnt facy dribble anymore, he is always slow, he is never a big scorer, and basically all he have been doing for a while was touch and pass. R.Madrid screwed up a lot of great players, look Michael Owen. Transferring to Madrid was sucidal move for all of those big name players.
By the way Rivaldo plays for a greek team this year, right. Man I thought he was going to be a legend after 94 and 98. Bad career moves for him several times.

Like I said before, I'll wait until the end of the season before I revisit my opinion of him.

Well, as long as we're comparing basketball styles to soccer styles, I'll take Steve Francis and Luis Figo for $500, Alex. All that fancy schmancy dribbling, and at the end of it, nothing.

    Wicked :D

Nah Steve-o is more like a Denilson :p They both suffer from dribble diarrhea.

France didn't play well overall but still made it out of the group stages with nobody playing well but Zidane. Remember he had that fantastic 2 goals in the last few minutes against England when it seemed that England had it all wrapped up (could be compared to T-Mac's 13 points in 37 secs :D ).

I don't get to watch many La Liga games but maybe Zidane is suffering from Vince Carteritis in Toronto. From the games I have seen in the champions league it looks like the team as a whole doesn't try very hard. They think just b/c they're real madrid and have all those stars they should be handed the victory.

Yeah, I am almost ashamed to have him as my screename now. I read something in the Chronicle of all places that he was now disgruntled in Greece and stormed off the field after being subbed out in a game. He is extremely talented but I guess very arrogant and childish. Man, he was amazing in 98 and 2002 but since has crashed. He didn't play in '94, you may be thinking of Romario. I lost all respect for Rivaldo after he pulled that stunt in the 02 cup where he faked being hit in the face and fell down like a coward   Anyway I can change my screename?
