Watching Yao in person last night, left me thinking that maybe we should let him sit some games and practices coming up like the between the 22 and 25, they only have one game against Detroit and that is home. If he did not practice or play this would give him 4 full days off before an away game against Chicago. I say this because last night he was struggling to keep upright, missed a lot of easy shots and really looked beaten and exhausted at times. This is could help him get over the wall.....

Any thoughts to this idea? Do you think they will consider it?

They won't consider it...but they should. Yao's a big draw. Yao means money & Alexander ain't losin' money.

I think Yao Ming is suffering from dead legs as well as his knee injury. He is not getting consistent explosion on his jumps, his balls are hitting the front of the rim, and he seems to be loosing his balance fairly easy during the games. I think all of those are signs that his legs are tired. Also, it looked like he was limping a lot in the third quarter. If you were at the game then maybe you had a better look. I hope his injury is healing ok.

BTW, I don’t think you hold him out of games unless it is to heal his knee. His presence in the offense is too important and he needs to fight through the fatigue. Maybe they could scale back his role just a bit but certainly they should not hold him out of games.

I agree with Crash. I am not sure about sitting Yao unless it's to heal his knees.

Reducing his minutes to 25 minutes would probably help a bit, especially if the game looks like under control.

Yao just needs to go chill in the jacuzzi after games and practice. They work wonders for a tired body.

Time of in games won't help him get any better. Maybe he should just sit out a couple of practices. That would help more.

I am not sure it is not just physical. It is probably mental as well. What he really need is just to take an one month vacation and went back to China.

But that is not going to happen.

Why doesn't someone start a thread suggesting Yao punch Shaq tommorow so he can rest over a five-day suspension.

Resting Yao would give the Rockets to many losses. Forget his offense. It is his defense that is causing other teams to change their game plans.

    :D :D :D :D :D

The only time off Yao needs is from commercials!

Im all for it, but when the season is over.
Flying to NY the day before a game for a commercial is disappointing.
Rest on your free time Yao!
and dont make any genie movies.

Would it hurt to give Cato more minutes the next few games until Yao got his legs back?

Cato has been playing his best basketball this year and more minutes could mean more rebounds, more blocks, although he is a liability on offense.

If your balls hit the front of the rim, you'd lose your balance too :D

----if Yao punch Shaq tommorrow, he'll be resting for more than 5 days, in a hospital room.

If my balls were in danger of hitting the front of the rim I would need a very special jock strap for support! :D

    Thanks for the laugh.

If you had that special jock strap, you wouldn't be here. Instead, we'd be criticizing you on how you have all this god given potential but no bball IQ ;)

Rudy said it's his Mom's soup that should be blamed. It might be tasty but not too much calorie.

They offered 2 solutions: Pizza and PediaSure.

Um. Ok. Surely this is a joke.
Not that it wouldn't be a good suggestion, but that wasn't really said, was it?
