The lightning bug out of Oregon bided his time coming off the bench for 1 1/2 years. Then the Houston Rockets traded veteran Rafer Alston just ahead of last season's trade deadline and turned the starting point guard job over to him for the final 35 games. He's got a first step that's a blur and gets him all the way to the basket for layups and an outside shot that can go on sizzling streaks. But Brooks still has to prove that his tiny stature isn't too much of a detriment in the point guard rich-and-rugged Western....

Our offence does get stagnant at times and he is the one of the guys that steps up to score when we need points on the board.

Many PGs have proven that size is not a factor at the position. Chris Paul is listed 6' but hardly stacks that high. Tony Parker isn't tall, even in the past with Isiah Thomas being a small guard he dominated the position.

What AB needs to improve is his court vision and playmaking ability. He does have a quick first step but needs to learn when to kick it into full gear and when to slow it down.

Many instances last year Brooks would take of to the hoop get clogged by an extra defender and end up in mid air with no where to go with the rock. That's when he needs to become a little more like Parker and run circles around the defense to catch cutters moving towards the rim.

All will be learned about his potential this year, AB has full reigns of the offense and will have a full season of work to be done. All that's left to be said is:

    Get'r done Aaron! :p
