In child reering, as soon as parent recognizes that his/her child does an action that will ultimately cause that child harm, the role of the parent is to curb that harmful action. I know that this was the first game of the season, but somethings need to be corrected EARLY. The stigma that Rudy is a player's coach is a MAJOR problem with the Rockets TEAM. Essentially, a player's coach means that the players can basically do whatever they want to do. Good coaches dictate a system and the players are demanded to follow. If this were not the case Shaq and Kobe would have never been able to coexist. For many seasons their has been a promise of motion (which involves passing) and defense, and what happens everytime..........ISO. The role of the COACH is to dictate offense and defense, and Rudy is not doing either. If Rudy does not take control of the TEAM we will see what we saw last night...a meaningless effort from an individual who is 7-5 (who should always play Defense), two very talented individuals not using their talents to make the TEAM better, ect.... There's a time to a friend to the players and a time to be what we all expect Rudy to be, A Good COACH.
