I hate it when you order iced tea (unsweetened) from a restaurant and they fill the cup up to the brim with tea leaving very little or no room to add sweetener without the tea seeping over the edge and creating a mess. The only way to circumvent this problem is to take a gulp of unsweetened tea which is very unappetizing. I hate it when people walk around in Wal-Mart with their cell phones on speaker phone as if everyone around them wants to hear their damn conversation with the person on the other end of the line. It's especially annoying when it's a female b****ing and nagging about something. Hey buddy, if you choose to be with a chick like that then that's fine but don't subject us to it.
Hmmm... I agree with you on the first I just never really care to make a big deal of it, probably will not care in the future if it happens again. Why not just ask them to not fill it up completely? As far as pet peeve number 2, that's what happens when the prices are extremely low, you get extremely low class (annoying) people.
I cannot stand the guy on the bus who has to get up one stop before he gets off the bus to move to a more forward seat. Seriously, dude - it saves you what? 10 seconds? And in the meantime we all get to watch you stand up and then dawdle to the front and ask some poor sap to move their stuff over so you can take a new seat for the 20 second ride to the next stop.
Let me follow this up with one worse. I absolutely hate when I order iced tea and get a full glass of tea with 3 or 4 ice cubes in it, all floating at the top of the glass. How cheap can you be? I want my iced tea cold. It makes me angry when I have to order a glass of ice to go along with my iced tea.
How about you've already mixed your tea with the perfect amount of sugar, then the tea lady comes and pours more and messes up the perfect utopia of flavor that was your already-mixed tea with more unsweetened tea? Also, is it "iced tea" or "ice tea"? Do you people from the United States just accept both?
Well, some of us HAVE to do that in order to catch our connecting bus, which is usually about to pull away right as we get to my stop downtown. That 10 seconds can literally mean the difference between getting to work on time or having to wait another 15 minutes for the next connecting bus. And I would never sit next to anyone in that situation. There's always a few empty seats up front when my stop comes. On that note... My pet peeve is the hillbilly butterhogs in the front row who take 10 minutes to waddle their fat asses down the stairs when I'm behind them watching my connecting bus pull away. Also, the passive bus driver who insists on always driving in the bus lane downtown (behind 4 other buses) and refuses to go around them even when she's skipping a stop.
I hate it when you order a soda or iced tea and they charge you $1.75 or more for it. If it costs them about 10 cents per glass, that's about a 1750% markup.
This will surprise you, but some of us value our liver and would prefer to not inundate it with alcohol every time we are thirsty. I know, I know. We aren't cool.
i hate people who feel they have to constantly remind you that the shows you watch aren't good anymore. THEN WHY THE **** ARE YOU STILL WATCHING THEM??
^^ No one has answered my question, though. What about the cost of the waiter bringing it to you, or washing it after, or the free refills? Do you not account for that? Didn't we order sodas at Live that other time? AND, either your math or the way you stated "markup" is wrong. A 1750% markup on a $.10 drink would be $1.85 .
I hate it when people drive on the left hand side of the freeway going exactly the speed limit or below it. /End road rage rant
Some of the minor, minor, insignificant things people complain about in pet peeve threads are my pet peeve.
i HATE it when people crowd around the elevator buttons preventing others from pressing their opposite direction since they are afraid of the other person "stealing" their elevator.
That still isn't worth such a huge markup. UGH! WHATEVER! Yeah, you're right... it's a 1650% markup. Have a cookie. They're still charging way too much! It's no wonder more and more people are drinking water.
