For those who want Tim Thomas, you can forget about it. He's signing a 4 year MLE contract with the Clippers. http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=68843
Now that he has his guaranteed contract, he will go back to his old self and be a average player. The Suns system was a the perfect fit for him. He will suck for the Clippers. Bad signing IMO.
Why would he leave the Suns???? I guess they can forget about the Marion trade rumors. Him, Diaw and Stoudemire can play at the same time. Scary...
He's like a Medvedenko that actually works. Congrats to the Lakers for adding a... piece to the puzzle? Farmar-Kobe-Odom-Radmanovic-Mihm/Brown... should be interesting.
Wasn't there an article a few weeks ago where Thomas was quoted saying something along the lines of "I've already been paid--it's not about the money anymore, I want to be in Phoenix where I have fun playing." ?? Ha ha...
Just think, Radman and his agent were dumb enough to turn down $48MM from the Sonics last summer. On TT, he's a jerk. All this talk about having already made his money and fitting perfecty with the Suns was just baloney. He was just playing for his next contract, which the Clips gave him.
I have a whole new found respect for Tim Thomas...the boy knows how to work the system. Good for him.
here is a link from the Los Angeles times. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...y?coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=1&cset=true it says cassells not going back to Los Angeles. rockets here he comes.
Cassell shoots way too much as a PG although he is probably one of the best mid-range jump shooters. And he is too old. He showed his age during the 2nd round against Suns. Too bad, sam I am can't get a decent contract throughout his career.
damn it, why the hell are all of the guys heading West? Peja Radman Thomas They need to go East, away from the Rockets...
Losing Thomas is a blow to the Suns especially after reading this: The Suns traded away both first-round draft picks Wednesday in part to make a better pitch for Thomas, who is expected to accept a four-year deal starting at the mid-level exception ($5.4 million) from the Clippers. He was clutch in the playoffs and is a big time scorer and rebounder for them. They have done a good job replacing players but this is going to hurt them.
Dont let his play with the suns fool you,I expect him to return to his normal play, as being a bum. Phoenix suited him very well with all the open looks he got, he won't get that with the clippers. History will repeat itself.
