Everybody saw what happened last night, the so called "sold-out" Toyota Center were half empty in the lower bowl. Those corp. employee are too lazy to attent a Rockets game, nor do they care about whether the Rockets win or lose.

So when it come to playoff time, do you want to see a pack full of die heart fans cheering and screaming for your team, or do you want to see another arena with bunch empty seats and some half-sleep corp. rich @ss talking on the cellphone?

I've been to three Rockets games this year and the one thing that stood out to me more than anything was how quiet the crowd was. I was doing my best to get others to make some noise while the opposition shot free throws, but people just stared at me like I was r****d. Hopefully the playoff atmosphere will be more intense.

Even less people would attend the games if Tim barred corporate types from buying tickets.

Not many can afford, nor wouldnt want to pay for a $200 courtside ticket.

All they need to do is create a VIP section around the court for ClutchFans. That would get "The Factory" going. :)

Have you rented a car or stayed in a hotel in Houston the last few years??? If not, they "we" haven't paid any taxes for the arena. :)

It's sort of sad, and it makes the Rockets and Houston look pitiful, when a nationally televised game has a 1/2 empty lower bowl. Even the commentators were talking about it during the game.

Here in LA, the system works perfectly: The corporations with the best seats give those seats to their execs, who sell them to scalpers, who sell them for outragious prices to studio dweebs who are trying to impress their implant-owning starlet dates. Full house every time!

Maybe we should came up with be some easy way for people not wanting to use their tickets to give away or sell them.
I have been at the games for the last couple of weeks and in all those times I have not felt any emotions from the crow. I remember how exciting was to go to Compaq Center with a sold out crow.

With the playoffs coming, I really hope all those seats get filled. The crow really makes a difference in close games.

"okay, that'll be $1550 and twenty... oh, hold it. You're buying tickets for your company? I'm sorry sir, we can't do that. Here, take back your fifteen hundred dollars. We only sell to individuals and families."

It ain't gonna happen. For a long time I've been unhappy that the good seats are empty because of white-collar fans, but it ain't gonna change.

Yeah, something like that. Like have a section, perhaps both ends behind the hoops where the roudiest of fans could sit for cheaper prices. I am talking, the non-talking voice guys, truly roudy people. (Me).....and most CC.net'ers. (maybe even face painters)....

Is that all it cost to sit courtside at a Rockets playoff game? I'd pay that in a heartbeat...to see a regular season game courtside. I sat courtside one time when we had Olajuwon, Barkley, and Pippen. It was awesome! I'd love to do it again!

alls i know is the cheap seats are going to be packed tonight!
just got back from the fun run. for $17 each i got $14 tickets, a shirt, a rockets sweat towel (super sweet!) and a fanny pack. not to mention getting to hang out on the court w/ me bro taking pictures of each other doing the stevie-one-handed-hang-on-the-rim-and-point AND taking pics with the cheerleaders!

Thanks ROX, TIM, and all else who was involved with setting that up.

i also got to see what it looked like sitting in the $755 seats. man, that is such a sweet view. if any richie takes pity on me please send me a PM . any game.

are houston residents poor,i can assure you that the rockets dont have to highest ticket prices in the nba, espcially for a NEW building. If this team cannot sell out in the playoffs(im not talking about the sell outs where half the seats are empty), this team probably should move to a different city.
