Tim, can you answer this question about Rockets old school merchandise?

Ok, first I want to state that I've always wanted a pair of replica old school red and gold shorts.

So I go to the mall today and notice that nike has put out an old school Mavericks jersey (probably from 1988), but it is Nowitski's name and number on the back. And right next to that, I see the old school replica shorts that go with this old school Mavericks jersey.

Nike has also made a Steve Francis replica old school red and gold Rockets jersey, but I have to see the replica shorts that go with it.

This makes no sense to me at all. Why the heck would Nike go all out with the Mavericks considering that the 80s Mavs never even made it to the Finals, but not even make the Rockets replica red and gold shorts even though the Rockets won two freaking championships.

Dammit, I want my red and gold shorts! Help me out here.

Also, I'd like to know why I go to malls in Houston and find more old school Atlanta Hawks stuff than the Houston Rockets. The Atlanta Hawks?? They have no marketable stars. They are one of the boring teams in the NBA, and yet they have more old school stuff than our freaking hometeam. What did they do in the 80s other than losing to Larry Bird every year in the playoffs.

Whoever is the main man in charge of the Hardwood Classics clothing line is an idiot.

Yeah thats true...but the Hawks haven't won anything recently....and the Rockets Have two good marketable stars in Yao and Steve.

BTW, a few weeks ago, I went to Finish Line in Houston and took a lookat the old school ringer tees,and saw that they had old school logos of about 10 NBA teams, but not the Rockets....even though the mall was in Houston. It's a joke.

But in all those rap videos u always see fokes with atlanta hawks wearing,even the clippers......never houston or for example san antonio......so I guess its somethin like that......maybe?

Those rappers could care less about the actual team on the jersey. It's all about fashion.

Wow, that's funny. Up here (Cleveland) they have the Houston shirts. You can get either black with a red collar, or white with a red collar.

Somebody get a pic of Missy Elliot decked out in the old-school Rocket threads at some award show for these people please.

I cant remember which award show it was, may have been the BET Music Awards or MTV.

Oh BTW, I think she had an old-school Hawks cap on to go with the Rockets ensamble that night. Strange.

Rocks dropped the ball on this one.
There wasnt even a decent Yao retro made.
That was a Big Loss.

A few Hot retro items you can find...
Francis swingman and authentic.
A few fitted caps and a trucker too.
A Hardwood classic retro logo uni.
A retro "baseball" uni.

Thats all Ive really seen, and I am very heavy into the gear department.

Obviously a photoshop pic.
Look on the Inside of the Jersey, the name on the back clearly was FRANCIS.

A Yao replica was made, but nothing of quality.
Unless you want to pay $360 for a Pro Fit that is his true size and will never fit you.

but u guys should be atleast alittle happy.....in sweden they only sell: kings, lakers, raptors, 76:s, t-wolves and the wizards....and those are the champion jerseys......not so fun eh?
