Strake was so committed to the clean cut look back in my day that the only song on their PA system for pregame/in between quarters was the instrumental to “Forever” by Drake. Only played there twice tho lmao they do have decent facilities. I wonder if they’ve upgraded to two or three instrumentals by now

 

The Rockets current practice facilities are not acceptable, but it is just an indication of a lack of resources by ownership to spend on player development. He also did not allow the addition of coaches specifically for that purpose. It seems like Tilman just wants to make big splashes and cuts corners.

 

I want him to invest in the team like he promised he would…he’s got time to buy 6 acres on the Strip, but has been here since 2017 and the practice facility still looks bummy among the other stuff u mentioned that he has failed to do

I heard about this potential project about a month ago. I’ll be interested to see what he has planned for this fairly small parcel of land. Supposedly, this would not be a Golden Nugget, but something more upscale with a different name. I don’t see this being a mega mega resort, but I could be wrong. It’s a small piece of land, but Cosmo is on a small piece of land also(8.5 acres) so anything is possible.

Vegas is booming right now, but it’s not always easy to make money on the Strip, and it’s expensive to build there. Las Vegas Sands just sold its properties in Vegas and is looking to build in places like New York, Florida, Texas, and in Asia where they can be more profitable.
