Houston Rocket's guard Tierre Brown will have his Iowa High School jersey retired tonight at the school's annual basketball banquet. Brown starred at Iowa High School in Iowa, LA from 1993 - 1997 where he scored over 2500 points during his high school career including a 33.0 PPG average during his senior year and a career high of 50 points. Brown's high school honors included two-time All-State selection, three-time All-District Honors including District MVP as senior; Southwest Louisiana MVP; and Prep-Stars All-American. Following his high school career, Brown went on to star at McNeese State University where he received All-Southland Conference honors as both a junior and a senior, scoring over 20 points per game each year. He led the Southland Conference in scoring as a junior and ranked second as a senior. As a junior, he averaged a career-high 22.0 points per game. Tierre has recently completed his rookie season with the Houston Rockets by scoring a career high 16 points with seven assists against the Portland TrailBlazers. Congratulations to Tierre for this well-deserved jersy retirement honor.
When things like the above make "news" on the Rockets BBS, things sure must be boring around here. -Tariq
What would you rather have him talk about? The same brain-drilling threads about Moochie dribbles too much, Steve isn't a PG, and "the #5, Uncle Joe, a pig, and a Snickers for Allen Iverson and a $50 gift certificate at Amazon.com", and "I bet Ming's got a big dingaling"?? Nice catch, ejax... at least it was something different. ... and congrats to Tirereereerrreererre as rockHEAD would say.
Maybe he should have shown his jersey then come up with a rendering of what he thinks his jersey should look like?? os
