Is Brown's contract guaranteed? If so, that would be four points guards with guarantees on the roster. I know Francis can play the two, but one is his primary position. Does anyone else see something might happen if Brown and Maddox have a great preseason? Would Brown be helped liked Jones last year? Or will someone else go?

talk about a deep team. we are 3 deep at every position.

ming-cato-collier (yeah he can play about 6 mpg this year)
    moT-griff-Tmo
    rice-k9-boki
    cat-tito-oz
    steve-mooch-tierre

i think oz and tierre will get 1 year deals. les doesn't want another season like last. so he is making sure that if an injurie occurs we will be ready.

Neither contract was guaranteed. They have to battle for their spots. The competition is going to be real good:

SG: Mickeal, Boki, Tito & Oscar

    PG: Brown, Tito, Moochie

Obviously, Moochie and Boki have it made. I think Tito is guaranteed at least this year. Maybe the Rockets will drop Collier and keep two guards on IR. EG and MT can cover the 3rd 5 spot. That would allow Collier to go to Europe to develop.

    Should be interesting...

Who else thinks we're going to sweep the preseason?

Every single player, other than Steve Francis, has something to prove/win, and will give incredible effort.

If Maddox and Tierre look good in preseason, I can easily see KT, Mooch and Collier being traded for an expiring contract and a pick.

I think that OT will stay. He has good size and good defense. A great compliment to our scorers.

I think OT will stick too. He even started for us last year and did a real good job. He's one of those tweeners that Rudy loves too, he can play the 2 and 3 and he plays good defense.

The camp competition is going to be tremendous. So many good players and really only Steve and Cat are guarantees to start. The scrapping for starting positions and backups will be fierce. And then, the fight just to make the team will be hard fought. This will be a strong squad 1-12 and on the IR.

It looks to me that the last and third spot on the I/R is between Brown and Torres!
    Makes the Team...
    Point Guard: Francis,Norris, Maddox.
    Shooting Guard: Mobley,Mickeal
    I/R: Collier,Morris,Brown/Torres
Francis,Maddox and Nachbar can help at Shooting Guard!

It's not a guaranteed contract. It just makes everyone compete that much harder in camp.
