I apologize for not having a link but you have to register to even see the article so I didn't bother to include it.

    Draft rumors

One juicy draft rumor involves the Magic, who hold the No. 1 pick. It goes something like this: The Clippers trade their No.2 pick for the Hawks' No. 6 and 17 picks, putting Atlanta in position to take Atlanta phenom Dwight Howard. The Clippers don't need him; they have more power forwards than season-ticket holders.

Atlanta then must deliver the Clippers the player they want and persuade Orlando to not take Howard. To do that, the Hawks add a sweetener to the deal (future pick, salary dump) and the Magic take Emeka Okafor.

    DeVos-T-Mac summit

Magic owner Rich DeVos would not be hustling from some island resort to be here this week if Tracy McGrady were happy, right?

DeVos obviously knows which way McGrady is leaning from the Magic's talks with his agent. But he wants -- and deserves -- a straight answer from his $93-million employee. This sounds like a rescue mission.

If the club intends on keeping the draft pick, how can DeVos sell T-Mac on sticking around? Okafor's potential stardom? Grant Hill's health? The $5 million free-agent pot?

Hope Rich has a better speech ready than he gave Shaq.

    ------------------------------------

Looks as if they are looking to rebuild from what these say. McGrady surely wont want to play with Okefor, and it seems to me that the owner knows he wants out and flew in to talk to him face to face to find out for sure. Or to maybe have one more time to convince him to stay. If you want McGrady to be a Rocket, looks good so far.

I like the Clippers deal for them. If Atlanta trades away the disgruntled Jason Terry, and takes back some of the Clips spare young talents like Wilcox, then they really come out good.

    Clips get

    Terry
    Q
    Maggette
    Brand
    Kamen

+ the extra picks. Not bad at all. Sweet for them. They can take a 2 and let Q walk without paying him.

Atlanta gets to clean house and start over.

Howard seems like an ass to me, though.
