Does anyone know when tickets that are not season tickets go on sale. I really want to go to the home opener Nov 2nd
Good question, Monkey7392 ... I want to go, too. Individual game tickets for regular season games will most likely go on sale the first week of October, but the date hasn't been finalized yet. (Last year the NBA had a national on-sale date that all teams had to use, but this year they're leaving it up to individual teams.) You can buy season tickets and mini-plans now, though, and both the Yao Big Man 6-game pack and the Mobley Sharpshooters 12-game pack include the regular season opener against Toronto. And anybody who purchases one of the other mini-packs can "super-size" and add the opener or the Compaq Center regular season finale now, before individual tickets are available to the public. Tim
www.rockets.com Rockets Single-Game Tickets: Regular season individual tickets go on sale to the general public October 5th at 10:00 a.m. CT at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Compaq Center box office. You may also purchase tickets by telephone at (800) 4NBA-TIX or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/805950
If you register with Rockets.com then you might get an opportunity to buy them early. This is what happened last year if I recall correctly.
Last year, American Express cardholders got to purchase tixs like 2 days earlier. But I remember Tim saying that the league let every team choose a date to sell individual tixs unlike last year where everytime sold tixs on the same date.
Regular season tickets for individual games go on sale October 5. If it goes like last year, it will be best to act fast for the key games -- the 2 Lakers games and the Wizards game sold out very quickly. Of course, you can always buy a multi-game package before then and make sure you're locked in. We'd love to have you in the family. Group sales are also open for business. Season ticket holders can buy individual game tickets early, starting on 10/1 ... it's one of the special privileges season ticket holders get. Individual game tickets for the pre-season are available now, of course. Best way I can think of to get your fix and put an end to what everybody here seems to think has been the longest summer in all of recorded human history. Actually registrering on nba.com and choosing your favorite team. Its at the bottom of the main nba page. That puts you on the NBA mailing list, so you Tim and the NBA can target you in their marketing campaigns. Last year it was be able to buy your ticket a few days early with the Amex card.
