There is absolutely nothing wrong with thinking your better than everyone else. The problem occurs when it effects the team. Even if he believes he is better he is the point guard and on most nights Durant has to be the go to guy.

This was very dumb for a "veteran" to say at this time with all the bashing Russell Westbrook has received from the media during the playoffs.

If you think you're better than everyone else you're not passing the ball. Doesn't matter if you're a wing, a center or the point. You're not letting someone else you think is inferior decide the game.

The issue is 100% about his ego and how it needs to be checked. Because he's not better than Durant.

Westbrook sucks. He's no better than Brooks.
Guy thinks he's a superstar. Hahahahahaha. Go coach high school teams like Rafer you incompetent moron.

The kid is cocky, that is just obvious.
You would like his agressiveness if he weren't keeping the ball to himself in order to make it happen all the time.

It's ok if he thinks he's better than opponents.

It's not ok if he thinks he's better than Durant.

He needs to defer to Durant.

None of those guys play on the team anymore. Mason and Swift havent played with them for 2 years. Itd make sense if it was an EX-Thunder member. They made it sound like a current member snitched to the press.

He's right though. Why potentially worsen the situation even more?

This whole Westbrook thing is getting out of hand, media spun and all.

HE HAS PROBLEMS, yes I know. But he's young, and I think he just needs a better more disciplined coach to reign him in.

It's Nazr Mohammed. You can count veterans out from that team with 3 fingers, and New York Daily, hello.

You realize how much better the Rockets would've been with Westbrook over Brooks. Brooks is a good, nice guard to have on your team, but Westbrook is very much multiple all-star player in the making with lots of playoff success ahead.

You dont think players likes Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Magic Johnson, etc have that mentality? The only time it might come into question is in the fourth in the clutch. There are times Westbrook looks to take over then but Durant, Perkins, or Brooks needs to get on him about going to Durant.

You can also think about the two Bigs threes in the league. You dont see the Celtics or Heat going fighting amongst themselves. Thinking you can make the better play, pass whatever doesnt mean you would put yourself over your team.

Are you serious? These guys ARE the best players of their teams. Westbrook is not.

He's only played half a season with them. He has played in New York before but not sure he's one to have Westbrook "pegged" in that little a time.

I CAN see how it'd be an EX Thunder player. So if it IS an ex player, then put the word "EX" in the title. There is a difference between current and ex.

Though maybe the reporter threw out ex-players names to protect the source. If it is a current player like Mohammed, that kinda stuff can poison a locker room.

If I had to guess who that "veteran" was.... I'd guess Nick Collision. Anyways, I hope the Thunder implode due to Westbrook's selfishness/ego.
