In the unlikely story that is the Houston Rockets, there has never been anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told that we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations of Rocket Fans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of Red Nation. Yes we can. It was a creed written into ownership documents that declared the destiny of a franchise. Yes we can. It was whispered by Drexler and Olajuwon as they blazed a trail toward championships through the darkest of nights. Yes we can. It was sung by Daryl Morey as he struck out from distant shores to Miami only to fly back to Dallas against an unforgiving wilderness. Yes we can. It was the call of fans who organized; women who displayed their undergarments; a owner who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a general manager who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land. Yes we can to popular free agents. Yes we can to playoffs and prosperity. Yes we can heal this team. Yes we can compete for a championship. Yes we can.
Was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor? I believe a healthy Yao and improvement from our young players and we are right in the mix. Crazy? Perhaps. I believe !!!! DD
i'im happy for you but i think it's absolutely delusional. we're not even in the discussion without another all star caliber, impact player. not to mention that the whole concept rests on the foundation of a healthy Yao.
I have faith in things I have faith in. Yao Ming's health ain't one of 'em. We aren't winning crap until we move on. I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying that...but that's how I see it.
Things are shaping up great. Have faith. Wade might not even be in Miami for Bosh to join with. Knicks have signed Amare and have peaked Wades interest now. That would take Miami off the radar completely.
if they're able to pull off a move to bring in an all star caliber player, i'm there with ya.... what DaDa and I are talking about is the team standing pat.
