Heres all the evidence the prosecution is going to need. I read it was because she didn't get tenure.
I hate this kind of ****. If you're pissed and want to do something this drastic, take your own damn life. This ugly b**** better be locked away forever... Even ****ing Greg Oden wouldn't hit that ****.
Yup. Graduated from Harvard. This line from a UAH student cracked me up, "She went to Harvard, so she is very smart. I can see that her getting denied tenure at UAH would be pretty upsetting," said Bennett.
Slap on the wrist, probation. Hang that biatch on main st. Real justice. Call me crazy but fukkkk this slap on the wrist justice system. If we made an example of this scum, people would fear comitting such a crime
Would they really fear it? I'm pretty sure they don't give a damn. And most people who commit these type of crimes usually commit suicide.
Who the heck said this professor would get probation? I would at least give her a misdemeanor, if not a 2nd degree felony.
LMAO, I came in here with the idea of making a stupid joke, but after reading the thread, I decided some of you people are crazy. There is no way she will get probation for KILLING THREE PEOPLE in a state such as Alabama, nonetheless. It's laughable to even say she'll get a misdemeanor. I don't know all the statutes of capital murder charges, but I'm sure this will be walking that line between regular murder and capital murder....
Is this subliminal? Your post sounds like it came straight out of Jim Crow South. That white woman slept with a what?
Any thing is possible when its a female committing the crime. women can get away with murder in this country. Female + "the devil made me do it" = slap on the wrist
Crazy stuff and only two hours away from me. Yes, it's not fun when your academic career is derailed or doesn't work according to plan. It even happened to me once. But I didn't go out and shoot anybody. You need to realize that: either you need to work on something, or these aren't a group of people you want to work with/for anyway (or both), and this is a great opportunity to get on with your life away from their little academic nest. You're supposed to hold your head up high, continue teaching and doing the best job you can, and look forward to not having to go to many more meetings with these people. Instead of "going postal"... what's frightening is that not just anybody could get to the tenure track at a university. Besides the obvious education and achievement level, you'e got to have a pretty good level of sanity... or at least look like it. We (who teach college) think of ourselves being levelheaded enough that none of us are going to completely lose it - and if they do, they would get the appropriate help. We don't think of ourselves being in danger of being shot by a coworker at faculty meetings. Scary.
So I don't get the tenure thing. 1) If a professor doesn't reach tenure status, does that mean he/she can be fired at will right away? Does the prof. usually get fired right away? 2) If you have tenure, can you not be fired at all? 3) Normally if a professor doesn't get tenure, does the prof. stick around at that university and still teach? 4) Percentage wise, how much more does a tenured prof make over an non tenured prof?
