Just one question, why isn't this in the media talking points? If this were some Gay / Lesbian rally with a picture posters of Jesus holding a dildo it would be the talk of the media outlets. This is the type of American moxy that made this country great and allowed us to be the only colony to actually beat Great Britian in a war. Thousands Support Cincinnati Tea Party Thousands Support Cincinnati Tea Party CINCINNATI -- Group leaders refer to the Cincinnati Tea Party as a grassroots, non-partisan group opposed to wasteful spending. Thousands showed up on Fountain Square in support Sunday afternoon to express their frustration with the government's new stimulus bill. "We need to take back America. I am tired of being ran by politicians. They're not listening to what I'm saying and I see that this is the beginning and I want to be in on it," said Cheryl Page who supports the tea party. "This is where the financial status of America started. With the early revolution, and the taxation from the Brits. And it almost feels the same way but only in modern terms," said Tea Party supporter Jay Piper. "Irresponsible businesses and irresponsible people should be allowed to fail. That's what is the foundation of our country. You find the bottom, you work your way back up," said Tea Party supporter George Piper. But not everyone agrees with the Cincinnati Tea Party. "Clearly the American public is strongly behind President Obama right now. These are scary times and they require some very desperate measures," said Tim Burke with the Hamilton County Democrats. Tea party supporters say their reasons for demonstrating on Fountain Square are simple. "To actually show the state and federal government that we're displeased with the way that they're handling our money. That's our money," said George Piper. Tea party events are not exclusive to Cincinnati. In recent months they've been organized in many major cities across the country. Nearly every person on Fountain Square was in good spirits Sunday afternoon. However, a small isolated group stating they were frustrated with the media, began to threaten the safety of WCPO's crew. As a result the crew felt it was necessary to leave early.
You should probably read what you copy paste before you hit "submit" bro. wingnut PR at it's finest. I am very glad though that the righties are busy planning tea parties and whining rather than governing.
Why do you mention buyer's remorse when a group of people who almost certainly did NOT support Obama in the election speak out against his current policies? Do you actually understand what the phrase means?
Many Obama voters are feeling the buyer's remorse of who they elected. Yep, I know what the frase means, champ
Here's a little piece to whet your appetite. Obama buyer's remorse http://meganmcardle.theatlantic.com/archives/2009/03/obama_too_sunny.php
Yes, threatening the media's safety at an event designed to garner media attention: that's some American moxy you got there. Also, why tea? That doesn't really hold up too well as a historical parallel. Why not burn pieces of worthless paper?
I don't know what sort of news you watch but I haven't seen a lot of coverage of Gay / Lesbian rallies with Jesus holding a dildo. As far as the Cincinnati Tea Party. I'm all for having people show their opposition to government policies peacefully and creatively and if there is a Minneapolis one I will go to it, schedule permitting. Intimidating the media though was stupid.
I love the way your just throw out your labels there comrad... Have you seen any of the lefty protests? Where they attack people, throw things at them, scream obscenities? Hypocrisy from the left? We haven't seen that before...
Just curious, not really related to the op, but is everyone that has a different opinion than you a "wingnut"? I'm not even sure what that means.
This doesn't even make any sense. You asked a question as to why "the Media" didn't cover the rally - a question that is already answered because (1) you posted a media account and (2) the fact that media memebers were apparently made to feel unwelcome at this event. I am simply trying to help you. You should thank me. No - however these militant "tea party" right wing activists pretty obviously are.
Sorry, didn't mean to single you out, I just see that term thrown out a lot, and not always pertaining to an extreme situation. Just curious, I'm sure Rush is considered a wingnut (I think he is a self promoting blowhard), but what about Hannity or Greta. How about on the local scene, is Michael Berry considered one? Like I said, just curious.
yep, san antonio spur fan: wing nut leno over letterman: wing nut briefs over boxers: wingnut mac over pc: wingnut
Were you that wacky conservative dude we screamed obscenities and threw our shoes at? Thanks for the target.

It's the bigtexx 2009 catch phrase. Is this your first repsonse of his to read lately? It's all the rage!
