I haven't had the utmost confidence in Dwight so far this season. He really isn't playing like the $22 million man so far this season. Inside TNT picked apart his offense and other than the Trailblazers game, his offense has been pretty darn bad. I'm starting to wonder if his frustration in LA was simply due to his realization that offensively he sucks... I usually don't like talk to bad about our players, but I'm starting to realize that Morey had no chance except to pick up Howard on our team. Against the Lakers at home he had 15 points and 10 rebounds. If Asik had those types of numbers we would be praising him, but we are paying this guy $22 million per year! I was beginning to have hope that the "slow song in his head" was starting to help him out, but he was 5-16 on free throws. I wish we could have a player that could bring a lot more on offense because we could have used that more tonight. I know you guys are going to say this was only one game, but this was *his* "revenge" game. How many players over the years have gotten their revenge over the years? How many of them were "superstars"?! Dwight is amazing on the boards and defense, but on offense he sucks! He is essentially a "suped" up version of a player that only impacts our cap $8 million per year...
Dwight has been what he is...if people thought he was better offensively then that is their problem. It wasn't going to be easy, but beggars can't be choosers. The upside is that it's early in the season and they have time to make moves and adjustments.
Not gonna hate on Dwight I hope he becomes the player most think he can be. Don't think for a second though that Morey won't fix a mistake if he sees the chance to. It's early though and we are not gelling right now at all. Fumbled passes, horrible lob attempts, this team can grow, the talent is there but they have to play off each other better. Outside of the Portland game has this team has yet to play in harmoney. We'll get better and I hope Dwight gets his revenge in LA.
