I had ACL surgery today so i wanted to actually type what I realized in my sedated state. What is the main reason why we love this team? From top to bottom this organization is a class act. They are classy and conduct themself in a manner that exemplifies that on the court. That is why I can't believe anything that the articles have said. I realized that the most obvious reasoning was probably the correct one. Tmac...I think he has humbled himself and knows that he has to change his playing style if he wants to win and be on the team. He has figured it out and that is why his PR is doing so well. He realizes it and is willing to do whatever coach says. He wants to stay in Houston and will do anything to do it. Rick...Rick probably never fought with Tmac. As a classy coach, he probably didnt want to make the same mistake he did with Chris Webber. He wanted Tmac to work slowly into the lineup and establish himself as a team player. Rick knows Tmac can be just as good with his recent training schedule. Morey...Morey is being a GM. He shopped Mcgrady because he wanted to improve the team...his job enough said. All three guys I think in reality (something the media sucks at portraying) probably represented themselves in a classy manner. Now to what I think they should do... I say SLOWLY work tmac back into the lineup like they are. If you trade him your going to get a guy like J Oneal who is just as injury prone and will probably not resign because he cant coexist on the court with Yao. Anyone with a longer contract prevents us from being major players in free agency. I say let Tmac play and then decide to resign him in the offseason. I would resign him at 6 million for 3 year with the third year being team option. Moving on...I like Randolph from GS, but I also like Brandan Wright more. He is a 6-11 sho blocking guy who doesnt fit GS's system because he doesn't run n chuck. He is very athletic but for a third year 21 year old is still very raw. I propose trevor ariza + J taylor for randolph and wright. and any other fillers needed. Brandan Wright fills mutumbo's role and is a little more offensively talented. Further than that...I know its early, but Hopefully we can draft Damion James from texas who is a great offensive player who attacks the glass and with the free agency...I propose we resign Lowry and Scola and with whatever money we have left....look at Kyle Korver or Travis Outlaw. Our final lineup would be: C: Yao/Wright PF:Scola/Landry/ SF: Battier/Randolph/Korver or outlaw SG: TMAC/C-bud/ PG: Brooks/Lowry Don't bash me in recovering...kidding bash away
C: Yao\Anderson PF: Scola\Land SF: Ariza\Shane SG: Cbud\Taylor PG: Brooks\Klow Let T-Mac walk, resign everyone else, and make no other changes.
This team is currently a .500 team. Putting Yao back on will not put us in the elite category. Sorry to say that but its true. You can't just not make any changes
Pull the morphine pump once. Ariza and Jermaine for Anthony Randolph and Brandon Wright is totally unrealistic, so unrealistic it is not worth addressing. Pull the morphine pump again and go back to sleep.
Two things: (1) Salaries for Taylor+Ariza ($6,579,000) for Wright+Randolph ($4,509,000) don't match. They must be within 25%. (2) Randolph at the 3? Maaaaybe... seems a bit big for that position, though. This trade is trading young talent for young talent. I don't see why Golden State would do it unless they're smitten with Trevor Ariza for some reason. I imagine they want someone proven for Randolph's potential.
LOL!! I had one of those when I had my ACL done. Goodness at your hand. BTW to the OP, good luck on your rehab, word of advice, take it seriously if you want to get back on the court/field and not have lingering effects.
Expect two major additions to our team before the start of next season. A fourway trade with Golden State, New York , Miami and Houston. Possible players to be traded:- most likely to least likely a)Cook b)Dorey c)Battier ( On the decline, trade before it is too late, get good value for him now) d)Taylor e)Ariza ( might be better with less playing time) f) Scola ( slightly on the decline, get good value for him now) g) McGrady Mc Grady could move up the list, rapidly if he can't find his game and fit in. Fairly Safe players to stay next season Landry Yao Ming Anderson Lowery Brooks Budinger
