Spoiler <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VAYAJW9-6SU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Thomas-Walkup-42010/ Saw him on GS's summer league team. Needs to improve from 3 point arc, but the guy was good at attacking the rim and drawing fouls at the college level. I think he has the potential to be a Tyler Johnson/Jeremy Lin type. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SvBKhoLwQ78" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Confusing post... So a Lin=Tyler Johnson? 2 complete different players Lin = Tyler Johnson = Lesser Harden? Harden can't defend so lesser Harden scores in own basket?
Good size and decent instincts from those clips. I'd like to see more of his shooting Supposedly he's a solid defender, but that won't mean much if he doesn't have 3pt range Also, he's 23...
Carl Herrera has turned into the worst poster on Clutchfans. Does he know Thomas is black and Harden is white? RACIST!!! Take this to the DD section before it gets crazy.
You saw him play 1 exciting NCAA tourney game like everyone else, then you saw him in summer league and remembered him, got all excited, then posted about it. Lulz.
I watched a few of his college games (at least 1!). Great college player, but seemed to lack the quickness or explosiveness needed for a guard in the NBA. But he is talented.
I went to middle school and high school with this guy in Deer Park. He's developed so much since then. He definitely has the drive and the pedigree as his brothers all played basketball. I would love to see this guy as a Rocket, or even on our D-league team.
I coached against his Dad's teams in rec leagues. Great family. Raymond did a fantastic job teaching his boys the fundamental aspects of playing basketball. I saw Thomas play a lot when he was young, never coached against a team that he was on. Just his younger brother and Nathan. I remember Thomas having a knee injury in middle school (I think).
I loved his game in college. He doesn't have the physical attributes but he is a smart player who will do the dirty work. I'm not really seeing the comparison to Jeremy Lin or Tyler Johnson but I think this guy could be a contributor at the NBA level.
Ive followed him for awhile now. Axe'em Jacks. I watched his summer league game and even though he lacks the quickness and explosiveness he seems to get around it just fine against the talent guarding him. He plays at his own pace, under control and has a very high Bball IQ. Always seems to make the right pass and knows how to space, cut and find room off the dribble for a midrange. I never thought hed be able to compete in the NBA before but after watching him, I can see him as an end of the bench guy on some team. More likely going to Europe or D-league though.
