I've seen last night how much Kenny wants to contain Duncan but he is to strong, but at least he slows him down in the paint and that leads Griffin to defend the interior against Duncan. I just observed how Kenny and Eddie works out great on the floor and there are not only once or twice where the spurs change the shots, when both guys are on the paint!

this team will progress to even better team down the road!

So does the fact that EG playing at C mean that he may be the 3rd option off the bench? Yao, Cato, EG, then Collier? I'd prefer that lineup myself.

Eddie is making everyone change their shots inside....it is kinda funny. i was at the game and saw eddie change at least 8-10 shots for misses.....huge inside prescence...can you imagine Ming and Griff hanging in the paint!!!!!

Grif doesn't need to hang out downlow too much or he will go the way of the IR. He needs to utilize his other skills more.

WHAT?! Defense is the strongest part of Griff's game, the only other skills that he has completly down pact is shooting 3's.

He can block shots but he isn't tough enough to bang down low for a whole game.

    Two words: Kevin Garnett.

Long, lean quick athletes can get by without having to bulk up.

He is and will never be KG? That doesn't mean he can't be a great all-star type player in his career. He can still be intimidated. He is very young so i don't want him to become part of the injury train.

If he can bulk up, I think the man should. If weight isn't being added then don't worry about it. In other words, we don't have to worry about it too much. He'll either adjust or gain the weight.

Not that I disagree with you, but I actually was a little dissapointed by the defense Rudy emplyed at first. Why was KT on Duncan and EG on Rose. It should have been the other way around, especially given Rudy's decision to front Dunca - why front with such a small player? When EG was switched up on Duncan he did just fine.

Bulk is certainly not an issue. In fact, watching the game at the Compaq Center, EG's size didn't look all that significantly different than Duncan's.

Was it just me or did Duncan actually look heavier than he has in seasons past?

Maybe, as Kelvin Cato so beatufilly stated, Duncan was only in "pre-season" shape and not "regular season" shape.

Cato is truley a Mensa Member. Not.

Down low is exactly where Eddie belongs, offensively and defensively. If I was Rudy I would make Eddie run horses after every game he attempts a three. I just think he can be so much more effective down low.

I saw MT fronting Duncan. Duncan elbowed MT in the eye, not KT. Rose was guarded by KT or EG... Maybe they switched around a lot.

Didn't Jim Boylen say Griffin bulked up for 17 pounds over the summer?

I think Griff's best defense in blocking shots will be coming from the weak side. Surprising your opponent and sending his shot 5 rows deep is always a mental beating. Eddie will block shots and defend well straight up, but coming on help will be deadly.

I totally agree on what you've just said and I thought I was the only one saw the advantage on having EG coming from the weak side!Besides that, I think KT has great footwork that slows down big guys like Duncan.
