Francis also worked in a nice dig at last year's captain, saying both teams and players got what they wanted. He lives on a lake, pays no state taxes and can shoot at will. Houston got a "guy who can walk it up the court and shoot fadeaway jumpers."
2:00 PM. Francis took a mild swipe at T-Mac, whose Rockets are 0-2, saying, "I think both teams got what they wanted. If [the Rockets] want guys to walk up the court and shoot fade-away jump shots, they got what they want. If the Magic want a team of players who get up and down the court, then they got what they wanted."

And Francis never took any ill-advised fadeaways during his time here.

What's wrong with the quote? The Rockets wanted a player to shoot jump shots. That was very apparent last season.

He's still mad.... who cares... 0-2 doesnt mean a thing

we will still end up with the better regular season record.

Big deal, he talked a little trash. Everyone does it (except maybe Yao Ming). Hell, Rocket-Man himself, ol' Tracy McGrady talks more trash than anyone in the league right now besides maybe Kobe and Shaq.

His little feelings are still hurt, that's okay.:D

Talk to me in a season or two. One team will steadily win 45 games a season and maybe get to the second round routinely. The other will be legitimate championship contenders. Guess which is which?

Not the Rockets. Not with holes at the 1, 4 and backup 5. Not with JJ in the starting lineup who should be a sixth man. And finally, not with JVG as the coach.

Motumbo needs more minutes!!! Get the word out on as many threads as possible. I never want to see spoon on the floor when we have Motumbo. Hell, for one game he looked better than Yao!

For five loooooong miserable years I watched Francis "walk it up the court," dribble out the clock, and fire up desperation buzzer beaters that usually missed. What is he talking about!! I don't think he ever ran a successful fast break. "Running the court," I don't think so. He is dreaming.

In a season or two, I expect the holes to be filled.

Jj, I dunno, he probably does need to come off the bench when we can aquire a start SF.

JVG, as far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on him as well.

But with T-Mac and Yao, you just need to find the right peices to fit and it's lights out for the rest of the league. Ask the Lakers.

The Rockets are hard to watch. Let's face it. This team is 0-2. JVG sucks and Ewing is only there to provide shade for Charlie Ward.

    All kidding aside.

There is absolutely NO team rhythm what so ever and even when we have wide open shots, we miss. Ugh

I think the problem with the Rockets is simple: Point guard. With T Mac and Yao, the bench and other parts are more than adequate. However, not having someone who can run an offense, break down defenses, or score effectively is killing them. IMO the Rockets would be better off picking up a journeyman scorer at PG who can at least break down defense off the dribble. Charlie Ward is horrid and this is early before he has lost his legs and can't shoot at all.
