http://s116937048.onlinehome.us/twit/TWiT0009H.mp3 That's my mirror of it...I want to see how much this webspace/server can handle.
Thanks for the link, although I already downloaded it elsewhere. If this works out for you though, I'd appreciate future download links if you're up to it. Torrents don't work for me very well, and I don't like downloading from Leo's site directly, so this could be a nice alternative. Yet another great episode, IMO. I just love these shows for some reason. I like getting real opinions and advice from guys that don't have big corporations shoving things down their throats. Plus, it is a little interesting to see what each guy likes to talk about. For example, prior to these podcasts, I didn't even know Leo, or really anyone besides Kevin, Robert, and Roger, were really into anything game-related; however, Leo and the others have talked about several game-related topics almost every week, which has surprised me. Leo really seems to like the Cell chip as well, although I think he does overrate it some. Despite his claims, I can see why Apple didn't go with the chip, especially if they had invested in the x86 architecture years ago. If they decided pour some money into developing apps specifically for Cell and were content to wait until ~2008 or so before anything really materializes, then maybe they could have had some sort of success with Cell (although most likely a version different than the one going into the PS3). Seeing as how they seemed to need to do something NOW though, Cell isn't really an option, IMO. Although there little jab at Kutaragi was funny, I think those comments were translated, so that's probably why they sounded so funny. Although, maybe Ken really does talk like that... In a recent machine translated interview, he was quoted as saying cancer helped drive down manufacturing costs, and that these new machines will also be able to play ping-pong. Got to love those translators. I was a little disappointed when Robert (I think) directed the conversation towards ATI's Crossfire and Nvidia's SLI after Leo asked about the PS3's GPU. I think Leo even said something about ATI doing it, so he may not know too much about the PS3 besides the Cell chip. It would be funny if he really did get a PS3 as a computer instead of an Apple or PC. It appears that episode 10 is already out as well. I'm downloading that right now and will listen to it shortly. It looks like they have a portion of the show dedicated to the PSP exploits (yet another game-related topic). It will be interesting to hear their take on this issue.
