...is s'possedly when the grace period is up for contracts signed this summer -- meaning the trade winds should pick up considerably. I've been pleasantly suprised with the progress my Rockets are making -- Francis is really gonna be something special. I love the fact he's focusing on getting others involved and actively seeking that balance between scoring and sharing. It might take some time but when he gets down....all I can say is damn!!! I still don't like Mobley but he has improved quite a bit from last season. Unlike some others, I don't his black-hole nature as much since he's brought off the bench to score, not to share but I'm losing hope he'll ever improve his judgement -- some of his shot choices are just crazy! Still, you gotta love a guy that nail something that looks so impossible with such confidence. I wish I could comment on Cato but seeing as he's on vacation...err, injured.... Anyways, these are my three untouchables: Francis for obvious reason and Mobley because though he damn near stops my heart sometimes, he's good at what he does. The wealth of size in the West makes Cato a necessary evil -- unless we can improve the position (Center). I'd field offers for anyone else -- including Hakeem and MoTay. I would suspect that most Eastern Conference teams will be quite active up until the deadline seeking that anything they can get to help them keep pace with the West. Teams like Boston, New York, Atlanta, Washington, and Milwaukee are safe bets to make moves prior to the deadline. In addition, Detroit should move Jerome Williams and Charlotte will seek a new home for DC, who really isn't contributing anything at all to the Hornets. Western Conference looks like a different story all together. I'd be suprised to much movement at all out here with so many teams doing so well. If anyones gonna make moves, it'll be the Clippers, the Grizz, the Sonics, the Mavericks, or Warriors (although I suspect even they might be content to wait the season out). The Blazers will continue to look for ways to improve and battle the Lakers but I'd be suprised to see anything come of it. I get the feeling that CD's actively exploring his options but I don't really see any viable deals or attractive players out there for us. We're ahead of schedule in terms of rebuilding and for the most part, our roster seems to be clicking. Shandaman stills looks a bit lost and Hakeem probably will continue to b**** and moan but I don't see us moving either simply for the sake of moving them. Also, with Mo Taylor becoming more acclimated with the system, I doubt CD looks to acquire another precence in the paint for fear of sending MoTay the wrong impression. If deal for a power forward, such as Webber or Wallace, the deal will include MoTay. I guess this was a just a really long way of saying its looking the Rockets will stand pat. Opinions? ------------------ It doesn't matter if I have a signature!
I don't think we will see any moves in the Houston camp. I do expect to see some trade action with Atlanta, NY, Clips, and maybe Dallas, since Cuban is willing to deal anytime he can. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
i think something might happen. i dont know why, but it just seems like something big might happen. Nothing too big but nothing too small either.
