Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,040 to Washington Houston trades: Oscar Torres $332,817 to Sacramento TOTAL: $1,612,857 Sacramento trades: Mateen Cleaves $1,347,480 to Washington Sacramento trades: Gerald Wallace $664,900 to Houston TOTAL: $2,012,380 Washington trades: Courtney Alexander $1,418,355 to Sacramento Washington trades: Brendan Haywood $978,600 to Houston TOTAL: $2,396,955 TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Houston, Sacramento, and Washington being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston, Sacramento, and Washington had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement We get 2 rookies that play well. Haywood can fill our spot at the center position, and Wallace can start at the 3 since he can't get time at Sacramento. Wallace and Griffin were high school rivals, and a relationship between them could form with this trade. Alexander can't get time at Washington, so if you put him in Sac, he might be able to get some time behind Christie. Was has a need for a point guard and mateen is a "true" point guard. Collier will just be an addin to make the trade work so that Was can drop him. They've been waiving everyone else like Mitch Richmond's 10 million dollars. The only bad part of this trade is giving away Torres, but Wallace could make up for him.
I doubt Washington wants to trade their rookie center that has been playing extremely well, along with their very talented young swingman for a 3rd string center, and a PG that had to be packaged with a 1st round pick, just to get Jon Barry.
Why would washington trade Haywood? He is one of the reason why they're winning. He's avg 7pt 7rebs and 2 blks in 24 min. Houston had their chance when all washington gave up was Tracy Murray for Haywood. Jordan or whoever has done a great job getting rid of those large contracts and stockpiling young talent. After this season look for them to make a run at Miller for Cleveland or our very own Franchise to run that team. With Haywood, Brown, and Hamilton, they are a point guard away from being a very good team in a couple of yrs, maybe even next yr at their present growth rate.
Right. The Wizards have a great young big man that has a legit chance at making some noise in this league and give him up for Zwikker The Sequel. You're on crack.
Of the 8,000 trade scenarios I've seen posted of late here (most of them by this same guy, lol), this is one of the worst. Makes no sense...
Just to set the record straight, Cleaves was not packaged with a first rounder to get Jon Barry. Detroit got Jon Barry and a first rounder for Mateen Cleaves. Not that that means Cleaves is good, but it does mean Detroit is good at making trades (at least recently).
Houston trades: PF Kenny Thomas SF DAMN LANKY C Collier Charlotte Trades: C Magloire SF Bullard *******Trade Accepted******** This helps both ball clubs. We Get an active 7' body and a consistant shooter in Bullard. Charlotte gets a cheaper Bullard in LANKY, an active combo forward in K9 that will help them immediately especially with Mashburn out a month, and they get Collier who can pull other centers away from the basket. You want Gerald Wallace?? Me too; me too..... Rox trade: the WIZ Sac trades: Brent Price Gerald Wallace Accepted Trade ID:437505 First off Walt comes off the cap next year making him a commodity the Kings would appreciate, being 18 mil over. We will have to take on Brent's salary in order to get Mr. Wallace. I read in my last SLAM Magazine the reason Wallace left Bama was in part to him being "misused" @ the 4 exploiting his 6'8" frame and leaping ability. He feels more natural at the 2 however. Our depth chart next year could look a little something like this.... 1 WINK/Mooch 2 Cat/ Wallace 3 Oz/ Rice/ Bull 4 MoT/TMo/Cato 5 Magloire/Griffin IR Brent Price(Deja Vu)and Tierre Brown ......beautiful.
Wallace would be nice to get, but the question is, will the Kings still trade him after his big game the other night? In Peja's absence a few days ago he scored 20 points, grabbed 9 boards, and also got 3 steals in just 25 minutes of action. Now Sacramento fans are declaring him "The next Tracy McGrady!"
He's a super athelete, but McGrady had super handles for a while which is why he's considered one of the top players. Wallace has a long way before he catches McGrady and whats bad is they took atheleticism over system player. Something we should have done instead of taking a guy like Collier
i guess it has never occured to anyone that gerald wallace isn't that good of a basketball player. he can't shoot, isn't a good passer, is an overrated defender, can't shoot foul shots, and isn't a great ballhandler. he can't even hold oscar torres jock strap much less Cat's.... and he wont get that many minutes behind him anyways
No deal. Haywood is Jordan's prize...he won't part w/the kid who has been tearing it up (even with taped thumb)...he's one of their building blocks along w/Hamilton and Kwame. In fact, Jahdi probably won't be going anywhere either. Why do we need Wallace? Why would SAC trade for Walt w/the Peja and Turk? Thinking up trades that help our team is great, but u need to think why the other teams would be willing to do it also. Granted its not an easy thing to do as a fan, but this one has little to no chance of happening.

Wallace has some talent, give him time. McGrady looked like a scrub his first year in the league.
Can Dallas trade J. Howard? Is it worth? REALGM says: Houston trades: Kelvin Cato $6,048,000 to Dallas Houston trades: Glen Rice $8,800,000 to Dallas Houston trades: Kevin Willis $3,000,000 to Dallas TOTAL: $17,848,000 Dallas trades: Juwan Howard $18,750,000 to Houston TOTAL: $18,750,000 TRADE ACCEPTED Is it realistic?
Is this the stupid trade thread? Here we'd get some decent sf's Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,040 to Washington Houston trades: Kevin Willis $3,000,000 to Washington TOTAL: $4,280,040 Washington trades: Richard Hamilton $2,111,640 to Houston Washington trades: Brendan Haywood $978,600 to Houston Washington trades: Michael Jordan $1,000,000 to Houston TOTAL: $4,090,240 TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Houston and Washington being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked.
