not by me, but someone at Hornfans. It's a bad trade, imo but Francis/Griffin for Brown/Stackhouse/#1. This was an idea, not a rumor.

Oh and spare the "how many more trade ideas" rant. If you think this isn't worthy of discussion, click the back button and look for something else to whine about.

I think it's worthy of discussion.

Hornfans? Speaking of horns, TJ Ford is officially going pro according to Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston...

Agreed - very bad. Brown has dissapointed significantly mroe than Eddie. Francis is better than Stackhouse. The only thing to close that gap is a early/mid first round pick. No thanks.

If we're going to trade Francis for someone PLUS pick, it needs to be top 3.

It's too bad Memphis has to give their pick away - J. West might have gone for something like Francis for J. Williams plus pick.

Curse you, TJ. You WOULD have to do that the year we don't have a lottery pick.

Griffin is better then Brown and Francis is better then Stack. Wiz adding a mid first rounder doesnt bring it any closer.

The team gaining the best player in a trade wins most of the time. And in this case it would be Francis. I dont think this trade is even worth discussing.

It doesn't make sense for Houston.

Why would Houston take a forward/guard Stackhouse for our star player?

Griffin and Brown are pretty close, Brown did bad this year due to Jordan's running of the team to his liking. Brown was actually doing quite decent at the beginning of the season where Jordan was coming off the bench.

The only way the trade would fly is that Francis demands to get traded to Washington.

If they took Mo Taylor and Norris off our hands, it might be so bad.

TJ is over rated in my opinion. His upside is Damon Stoudamire with no range. I'd much rather take Jay Williams.

TJ is way better than that guys.

He is a young Jason Kidd...his shot may not be ready, but his game was ready 2 years ago.

Hmm, I do the trade. Kwame brown is a star in the making. And I doubt seriously that Washington would do this trade. But they were dumb witted enough to let go Rasheed Wallace and Chris Webber to get crap in return. Not that Eddie Griffin and Steve Francis are crap. I would though want them to keep Stackhouse and maybe give us Juan Dixon. Also give us another future 1st rounder.
Would it work cap wise? I dunno. But we'de definitely be a better team.

Uh, Wash would do that in a heartbeat. To begin with, Stack may opt out of his contract. Moreoever, Francis is better than Stack. With MJ leaving, Wash needs a big-name to keep fans interested in the Wiz. Francis, being from the DC area, would go a long way in retaining the fans who came to see MJ.

    I agree.

Jason Kidd's shot wasn't ready either when he came into the league.

But Ford will be gone long after the Rockets get to pick.

should work out well for our prospects of picking him then. :D

and even though you meant before, since we're not picking again until 2004, pretty much everyone will be gone before we pick. :(

we don't have our 2nd rounder this year right?

hmmm... I don't especially like Brown, but damn it would be nice to have Stackhouse...

Francis and Griffin is too much to give up just for Stackhouse and Brown though. If they would take Norris off of us and give us a damn pick... and give us larry hughes and juan dixon... then maybe, just MAYBE.... :D  :p

Very, very, very, very bad trade. We have a gaping hole at the 1, ballhogs at the 2 and 3 and Kwame is still years from being ready. Bad, bad, bad, bad trade.
