this team was suppose to dethrone the lakers and a contender for a championship. HOW DO U FEEL NOW? We cant even have all our players in the court and we only played less than 40 games Do we still look good on paper? P.S i hope stephen a does not bash us...
of course this team IS not ready. everyone knows it. the important question is - WILL this team be ready coming april? (and with whom?)
I actually hope Steve A does bash us. if the national media puts the sad state of the rockets locker room in the spotlight, then the organization will definitley be pressured to take action.
this team is obviously not ready its gonna take the 09-10 season for us to be ready.. we have to get past the injuries and we wont be sucessfully able to do that till the off season when everyone is having fish fries and pool parties and is resting. if mcgrady is back he will be ready. i hope. and so will the team and hopefully we'll get at least 2 more key additions to our team!
By the way... the Lakers last season, before the turn of the new year, were 19-11. We're... what, 3 games off that? Sure, they made the Gasol trade... but if Tmac pulls his head out of his ass that might be about the same. Point is... titles aren't won in the regular season.
This thread definitely brings new information to the table and provides insight that none of the other threads have done.
well the thing with that is no even thought the Lakers were contenders that year. Everybody was what, putting us as 2nd or 3rd seed in the playoffs and as competitive as the Lakers.
All I want to say is that we suck. We played hard, I know. We showed effort. But we need WINS, right now we have 8th seed and if we continue loosing to average and bad teams than I am sure now - we are not gonna make the playoffs. Spurs got on the same page quickly. We do not. And If we don't do that damn fast than it may be too late...
sorry, but we can't win with artest and battier out and t-mac playing like he belongs in the special olympics.
Let tmac sit out and get a defence trainer(because I don't think Adelman is the biggest problem. We can play well, just like last night(don't pay much attention to the result, at least much better lthan at Toranto). We need our good defence badly.
Titles aren't won in the regular season but titles are NEVER won if you can't make it to the playoffs.
How can we start talking about championships when our players haven't even been to the second round ever.
