Did we trade Kelvin Cato to the Suns while I wasn't looking? What a listless, terrible game they're playing. Dammit! Thats two Scott Pollard dunks in a row! I am sick and tired of seeing blowouts, the playoffs started so promising with all those close games, but now all the games suck. Come on, this is the playoffs, its supposed to be nailbiting, down-to-the-last-second action where heroes are born and frauds are exposed. Maybe tomorrow will be better. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
Scott Pollard Rocks, in fact he would make a great Rocket ------------------ "Repression never did me any harm (I finally ceased to include "stop masturbating" as one of my guilt ridden New Year's resolutions, but that's a different topic)." Achebe - programmer by day, Mrs Palmers Husband by night
I have grown more fond of his game recently. He's a garbage player who scraps and fights and claws his way to rebounds. He won't demand anything other than a dunk now and again and if he's not a great shot-blocker he plays physical on defense. And I like his hair. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
I will cheer against Phoenix in the playoffs from now on. Even though I want Webber on the Rockets, I refuse to cheer for a team whose lack of effort would subject me to a 4th quarter in a playoff game consisting of Jon Barry driving on Vinny Del Negro and Lawerence Funderburke dunking on Daniel Santiago. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Hey moron, have you watched him play? He'd be a great addition to this team. When he played in Webber's absence he was racking up good numbers from what I remember. The only thing I hate about the guy is that hairdo and the sideburns, but I can overlook that if he adds to a championship. He's no stiff. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
Yes he did. I picked him up on my fantasy team and he played great. The guy is pure hustle and he plays decent defense. I wouldn't mind him in a Rockets uni. ------------------ Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.
Pollard's one of those role players that every championship team needs, ala Mario Elie pre-quitter. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
I think Scott Pollard could be a decent starter for us in the post after olajuwon retired. But we would need webber at the pf. ------------------ http://www.democrats.com mgh 1925-2001
Watched several Kings games when Webber was out and love his game, especially the Pat Rafter like Pony Tail and Smeg like Sideburns, he has the complete package and would be the Junk Yard Dog this team is missing. Love the way he doesn't have to have a play run for him to score, just gets open on his own off the ball or makes great position for an offensive board, New Jersey's Jamie Feick could be a similar player with some work on his offensive skills especially working off the ball. Have a feeling he re-signed with the Kings last year???? SS -- Pollard "has the complete package"...LOL! I post that affectionately. ------------------ "I'll be gettin real drunk and making fun of everybody"
I like seeing the Knicks get trashed as much of the next guy, but that game sucked. I am tired of this crap, I want entertainment. Isn't the NBA supposed to be FANtastic? ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
Poodle Fur, You might get it in the next game with the Lakers vs. Blazers. I'm hoping for all-out war in this one. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
So am I. Those two teams dislike each other. But I don't trust the Blazers to maintain cohessiveness and focus for 48 minutes. BTW, if you just saw that offensive foul on Fox, I think it was intentional. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! Yes. Apparently the Blazers and Lakers got the memo that the only baskets that count are big dunks and circus shots. That Horace Grant dunk was impressive. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
What a wimpy tech on Fox. I never knew he could dunk like that(or blow by Pippen off the dribble). This game is much better than the previous ones, twice the intensity of the previous three games combined. BTW, Did I just see itty-bitty Tyronn Lue set a screen on 7'4" Sabonis? No wonder Wallace threw a towel in his face. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe. Something is up with Sabonis, I don't know what it is, but he looks like a zombie out there. 0 emotion, it's kind of disturbing to see. ------------------ Gabba gabba we accept you we accept you one of us Gabba gabba we accept you we accept you one of us
So far it's a repeat of last year... teams play close, officials make the subtle differences. See the last play of the half? That may have been the backbreaker. On the other end, the official closest to the play ruled it Blazer ball, and let himself get overruled by someone across the court. Instead of Portland being down by 6, 4, or 3, the official for some reason I can't understand gives it to the Lakers, and it's 9. Huge momentum swing. Also, it's gotten to where Rick Fox is about my most hated player in the NBA. I just can't stand his trash talking, flopping, etc. all around the floor. That breakaway dunk over Sabonis everyone went crazy about? Pretty easy for anyone if they let them stick a forearm in Arvydas' face like Fox did. I really want the Blazers to win, and I want to see a good series, but unfortunately the 1st half is looking an awful lot like last year-- close game, but the majority of the close calls go the Lakers way. Won't make a huge difference I guess though-- Spurs will KO the Lakers in a couple of rounds even if they survive this. Didn't expect to be saying this, but GO BLAZERS!!! ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! Bah, You don't bail out a 7'4" center who gets dunked on like that. Not in the playoffs. And if the officials were really in the Lakers favor, they'd be calling more fouls on Sabonis and Davis, they are draped all over him. What are they, his prom dates? And on the last play, it was pretty clear to me Davis touched it last. And the Spurs will not "KO" the Lakers, it will be a good 6 or 7 game series. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now!
