My hope here is to steal one last game and make it some kind of home court electrifying experience that everybody can say they remember 10 years down the line. It's time to cling to the little things. F#$% you Mavs for winning the last regular season game and putting us here.

it was only relevant the year AFTER they won a championship. that's when it made sense. it makes no sense applied to this particular team. none of these guys have ever won an nba championship before, and certainly aren't reigning champs. at best we can say, "don't ever underestimate a team that just made it out of the first round of the playoffs!"
We still have enough bullets to win. The team just has to believe. Scola, Landry, & Artest still make a formidable frontline with Hayes coming off the bench. Our cover defense will be even better as we can switch everything. We can consistently go through the post now without worry of fronting as Artest & Scola are more sure handed.
Just because you haven't won a championship yet, doesn't mean you don't have the heart of one....... Lebron James for example or charles barkley...........................
charles barkley can't even dream about having the heart of a champion. that fat butt couldn't close out the rockets twice when he had the chance to. he was the absolute antithesis of those rockets teams...that was the whole point. rudy said those words talking about a team that won a title in 94, but was disrespected in 95....just the following season. that's the context of that statement. that's why it was so great. saying it now about this bunch...it just rings hollow....without meaning.
