This season is dull

It started with a close loss to the Lakers, and I recall posting that it was kind of great to have that post loss pissed off feeling. last year was a lost season and I just didn't get as upset at losses b/c that team was undermanned.

Then Yao goes down this year and we're mired in boring, dull mediocrity.

    1. Morey, please, please make a trade. You'll get decent value, just give us something new to look at.

    2. Trade battier or budd to give Twill a chance.

    3. Move Hill so we can end the charade and let PatPat play.

    4. Trade Brooks and bring Ish up to run the second unit at breakneck speed. Ish, Lee, Budd, PatPat would be fun to watch.

    5. Someone tell AB that he's regressed. Quit trying to bring back dribblemania. Grab that dude and tell him to quit playing in fast forward. He's regressed and forgotten that he should play slow and then change speeds suddenly. It's not the ankle, it's between his ears.

is it just me or do you guys feel like this season is just a big dull bore. I keep watching and hope to see some improvement or some effort to give patPat or Twill a real chance to develop.

AB has not regressed, they are playing him wrong.

They need to stop setting that high screen, he doesn't need it, they need to let him go 1 on 1 and create on the dribble drive.

If you bring a big out they trap him....and that plays right into the defense's hands.

You would think Rick would know better, but apparently not.

RE: Bore - Agreed.....time to jettison Battier and Jeffries...and go young.

At this point, i think you're the only one defending AB.

    His efficiency is crap.

He cant run Adelman's offense. He misses passes into the high post. He is indecisive and weak in running cuts from the corner.

He is waaaay over dribbling, whether in iso or in the p.n.r.

    He is playing one speed.

His shot is all over the place, even when wide open.

His decision making has been highly suspect to crap all year long.

AB needs to pull up some tape of himself last year and take a close look. It aint even close.

I always say this, AB is so talented! He has amazing shooting touch and when he passes, he is amazing. He can break good team's defense...... but but but... I think he has no interest in us anymore. He does not look for other shots than 3 pointers (even if he is missing them)... When he is not hitting his shots (which is happening often nowadays) he does not do anything else. He is hurting this team so much.

And may be he is not 100%, but for god sake he can show some effort. His effort is 10%.

AB is still not back into form. The injury really set him back, but in the long run, we know what he can do. He is a gem that you don't want to move when he is tarnished. I also think he has some "attitude" issues, perhaps contract related. His handling of that issue is foolish if he is actually sulking. These guys are so young and immature, but talent wise, this guy is top shelf when he is 100% physically and mentally.

I think AB is trying to over perform at the moment.

He's coming back from an injury, possibly on the trade-block, in a contract year, and trying to get his job back as a starter.

To much on his plate right now. After the trade deadline thinks should be much more clear on his role if he's still with the Rockets.

Oh, in regard to the question of whether the team is dull, I don't think so. Most of the time they aren't good, but they are entertaining. Generally they play horrible defense, but they can light it up in spurts, that's fun to watch. But, bottom line, losing is a bummer and ultimately boring. I think we need a lineup tweek, and I would like a coaching change.

I would defend AB by pointing out his per-minute statistics aren't bad compared to last year. But then most of his staunchest supporters think per-minute statistics are useless so I won't bother.

Yep, the game was one but I wasn't even really watching it. When we lost, didn't really care.

The pain of losing a game used to linger for me until at least the next day. After this one, I just shrugged.

Team is frustrating because we aren't far away but our two major deficiencies are the hardest to acquire/fix...Center and Superstar.

You are confusing arguments, I think the +/- is worthless, but the per minute I like.

Right bc Melo wouldnt make a difference. Get him to ink the extension at 21 mil for 4 years and clear enough room to sign one of his boys next season. That's the only chance we have of being title contenders.

I assume that getting him this year is a band aid, and he bails in the offseason as he has said he would do all along.

    I believe him, don't you?
