You have the players, you have the coach, you have a good scoring system. But what gives? They just don't have the "IT" factor to win games. SOFT. and most of all...flat out SCARED. Play to WIN. quit overthinking the offense and quit playing like CHUMPS.
we have soft players. of course we're going to play soft. we are who we are right now which is a soft jump shooting faced paced offensive team without an enforcer in the paint.
I think its all mentally it never helps when all your players are pretty much on trade block but like I said rockets probably have some of the best role players in the league, and have a solid second option in Kevin Martin, when he is not chucking up shots. Rockets need to somehow pull off a pau gasol type of deal for a big guy if they want to remain competive, if not there defintley not talented enough with the team they have on the floor to beat anyone in a 7 game series unless they play elite defense.
When you say over thinking the offense, I just think thats part of Rick Adelmans offense. For some reason I rather JVG because of his defensive mindset
THANKS FOR THE UPDATE MAN!!! I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE PROBLE WAS!!!!! IN OTHER NEWS KEVIN MARTIN IS GOOD AT SCORING
you are wrong! we DON'T have the players. We are a roster full of Role players except for Scola and Martin who aren't even the 2nd best player on a contending team. Like Durant said, "Hustle beats talent when talent don't work hard" THis league as about talent. If you don't have any you'll be where we are now.
Can we atleast tank by developing the young guys and trading out redundant pieces that are not useful in where we are going? Top trading pieces are Scola, Brooks and Miller if we can get anything at all for him.
Yes, the team needs to lose in a way to embarrass the owners so that management will do something NOW. We've been waiting a LONG, LONG time for improvement
This team has one above average starter, Kevin Martin. I don't know why people keep saying Scola is deserving of an all-star bid. Yes he has heart. No this does not make up for the fact that his baseline offense-defense package is below average for an NBA starting PF. I don't wanna dig up the thread that ranked each of our starters within the NBA before the year started, but I said it back then than Scola was below 15 on the ranks. To me, with the emergence of guys like Kevin Love and Blake Griffin that rank has descended even farther. Ya'll can talk about keeping him all you want, but I also said before the year that I hoped Patterson was starting for us by the All-Star break. I still hold that hope now as well.
Exactly, he is keeping us from landing a top 5 pick like Kyrie Irving, Perry Jones, or Kanter. Thank you, Martin!
calm down people. we're just an average team losing to good teams right now. we're good enough to beat the clippers and timberpups but lose to the better teams in the league.
