Throughout the series, whenever my girlfriend was awake during the games, the Rockets would surge ahead. Unfortunately, the late start times and us living on the East Coast meant she'd fall asleep more often than not, especially during late games. Of course, being the superstitious person that I am, I devised situations that would force her to wake up during key moments. Troy Daniels' 3? The dog was "accidentally" let out. Rocket's 10 pt win? I needed a late night of studying in the computer lab and forced her to go. Well, last night, I messed up. Rocket's last possession, woke her up, she witnesses Parson's miraculous layup. Boom, she's saved the Rockets! Being too nervous, I didn't make sure she stayed awake. As Lilliard's shot splashes the net and the announcer yelled in excitement, all I hear is, "Oh my goodness, what happened?!" My bad.
Funny, I too felt i had an impact. I was able to watch games 1,2 and 4. I missed 3 and 5, had to work, just kept checking updates on my phone, If I watched live we lost. So being the team player, I decided to go to work and get updates on my phone, we seemed to be having success with this method. Didn't watch live, I'm pretty sure I dodged a bullet.
I can take the blame too. Right after Parsons' shot, the people ay my house were all celebrating and just to mess around I said, "Wait, watch Lilliard hit a 3 for the win" Everyone laughed, then it happened, then the room went silent and every set of eyes was on me. Sorry guys
No OP don't put this one yourself, it is not your fault. Your girlfriend did this and she obviously is not a true Rockets fan.
Every game I have watched, we have lost. The only games we've won were the ones I couldn't watch because I was busy with something else or was unable to watch the game. Sorry guys.
I admire you guys honesty but its not your fault. Don't kill yourselves, it is obviously Tyrion lanister to blame
