It seems that Cuttino only starts jacking up crazy shots if he has been left out of the offense for a long time. He doesn't need a bunch of plays run for him, but he does need to touch the ball. I think we should have Mobley bring the ball up. That would allow him to pass to Steve in a position where he can get it down to Yao or have something available on the perimeter, he could pass it to Yao if they are trying to deny Steve the ball or the passing lane to the post, he could take his man if he has a lane, or he could run a give and go. There is no denying that Cuttino is a scorer and is offensively gifted, but I don't think he is being used properly. To get him his touches they run too much iso, which only makes the fans b**** about him. He needs to touch the ball more in situation where he is not expected to score so he can get more used to passing, and when they are going to run plays for him he should be like Reggie Miller coming off of screens or cutting to the basket. Cutting Cuttino, heh heh. Sorry if this has been posted before, but to me it just looks like he gets frustrated out there when he is frozen out of the offense.

I'm surpised you guys haven't it put it together yet.

    heheh

Cutino + yao = yao 10 shot attempts max.

cutino does not want to pass to yao. He knows that his contract is not what it could be and that to make it better he needs a 20ppg average again. Well you can have 2 guys with 20ppg average, but unlikely to have 3, and he's going to make sure of it.

I haven't followed the rockets for long, but know that Cat signed a horrible contract (30 mil over 6 long years). It came after 2 so so seasons with 9ppg and 15ppg. Since then he had a 19.5ppg and 21.7 ppg season. Obviously Francis being out last year helped the Cat.

He knows that if his average goes down significantly (even in the interest of winning), he'll have no chance at any kind of worthy
    extension.

I feel for him too, it sucks to see guys like Vin Baker making 15 million a year when Cat won't make over 5 mil a year till 2007

Vin Baker....When he was in Milwaukee, who would've thought?

How can you stand in front of Boston fans and say "I am sucking the life out of your cap space, and I can't produce 4 points and 4 rebounds every night."

Who in the Hell feels sorry for Cat? If the guy can't learn to pass more he can be traded, he's valuable. I have noticed the Cat not getting enough touches so he jacks up bad shots theory and you know what that is called, selfish. And if he is traded and Francis doesn't like it, he can go too. I like Francis but he can't stand in the way of progress.

By the way, does anyone remember when Cat was a rookie and he handled pg duties and almost always passed. So don't say he isn't capable. He just doesn't want to be a good soilder.

Cat was offered a bigger contract by Toronto and turned it down. He wanted to play here because he likes the team, he likes the orginization, and he is great friends with Steve. If he were only in it for the money he would be a Raptor right now, so your theory doesn't really hold water.

How did this become anti-mobley/ contract discussion?

Moniker, your idea was not stupid or crazy. I kind of like it because it gets mobley more involved.

For those that think he's one of the worst... let them go.
