When I see a thread titled "This machine destroys EVERYTHING".... ...."I wonder if it can handle tampons" never crosses my mind.
If I had access to a machine like that I probably wouldn't own a single solid object by the end of the week.
In the same vein...it gets interesting at the 0:50 mark. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MBXVInN8PfY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't think it's possible for anyone to not be mesmerized by that. One thing that gets me is that they never show the cleanup for that which would probably take forever. You hope anyone who bought that off of the advertisement noticed they didn't do any glass (or ceramic?) products. Was a little anxious with the wood also, I guess you would probably want to keep those pieces pretty thin.
I lol'd when he put the tampons in, figured that was just some random s*** they had laying around... then when they put the maxipads in there, it started to get a little creepy.
No, no, no. If you want to see some real shredding, go to SSI's website... they shred filing cabinets, refrigerators, cars, etc. Enjoy one of the many videos : http://www.ssiworld.com/watch/ Goodbye VW : <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tPDLX0koXFs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I worked at a company called Enserv a couple years back and they used a machine similar to this to shred medical waste. It was like 5 times bigger then this one. Is not as strong as you think. It would jam with things like big stacks of paper and metal hip joints. It really sucked everytime it jammed cause I would have to go in there amongst all the medical waste and unjamm it. Sigh... the things I'm willing to do for money.
