We should trade Tony Massenburg and Bryce Drew seperately to get some low lottery picks around 5-8

Great idea, but why stop there? Why not trade Bullard, Norris and Gray for lottery picks also? That'll really accelerate the rebuilding process.

Boy I love trade deadline and draft day talk!!! I love to hear the deals you all propose and players we should draft. The lottery is a crap shoot. True, we can trade to get here or there, but there has to be two teams willing to get it done. We have no idea where we are going to finish in the standings right now. But some are assuming we are lottery bound. Plus, we do not yet know who is coming out early, who is looking at who, etc. If it stands to reason that we will fall short of the playoffs with a mediocre .500 record, odds are we get to pick at or around 8-11.

    Who to look at?
I say with the Rockets, we take the best available player, period. If he doesn't fit into the plans, trade!!!!

I think we are going to get more done through free agents this offseason than on draft day. But you can always hope for surprises when Rudy is at the helm.

    aelliott,

With all those players, we can probably get the first three drafts. No problems, right?

Its a great thing we signed Mooch up for a 10 ten day contract, just so we can package him in a lottery pick trade. Rudy and CD are real geniuses.

    No Worries,

You're right. Too bad we waived Hamilton, we could have swaped him for another lottery pick.

Of course, if we had all the balls in the lottery, that would remove some of the lottery day drama.

I say we trade Bill Worrell for a lottery pick. He has a lot of years left in him.

We should trade Tony Massenburg and Bryce Drew seperately to get some low lottery picks around 5-8. We should then choose Mateen Cleaves and Kenyon Martin with those picks. Whichever lottery pick we end up with, we should use it on the best small forward available. We will then be set for next year.

I think we should just get REAL lucky and have our ping pong ball slide into the top 3 spots.

That is what I am hoping for.

Maybe we could trade Mass, Cat and Wiz to the Grizzlies for Rahim or Othella

I would go for demarr johnson with our lottery pick, and see if najera is around for the detroit and/or if we have the orlando pick.

I would love to draft these 3 Cincinnati players.

    1. Kenyon Martin - Real deal Martinfield
    2. Demarr Johnson- Athletic .. 6'9
    3. Pete Mikeal - Can score and has great defense.. 6'7

Hey Francis3, I think everybody knows that you want us to basically draft the whole Cincinnati team. You don't have to tell us 50,000 times. We get the point

DaneB:You said,"We should trade Tony Massenburg and Bryce Drew seperately to get some low lottery picks around 5-8." I don't think they are worth a first round pick together let alone lottery picks seperately.

That Swift guy from LSU. I know he is only a freshman but is going to be a star in this league. He is only a freshman but I heard the other day there is a good chance he is coming out. It might have been Chris Monter that said that. I hope he does, and I hope we get him. For anybody who has not seen him play I will let you in on a little bit about him. He is long, tall, athletic, explosive, and basketball rejector. I have not seen him play a whole lot but what I have seen I have liked. I am not reaal sure about his outside shot but folks plain and simple he is the closest thing I have seen to Garnett.

It's DERMARR, not Demarr. And I'm pretty sure Stromile Swift is a sophomore and the likelihood of him leaving early is pretty good.

We already have a Hakeem, a Kelvin, a Cuttino, and a Moochie. Adding a Mateen, a Kenyon, a Dermarr, and a Stromile in a single draft would be more than our players and coaches could bear. They have enough trouble remembering the plays.
