The way teams collapsing on yao like Lakers, Grizzlies... did.

In the past, teams don't always do that, and many teams don't choose to/care to do that. Yao almost always had good games against Lakers, becuase Shaq like to single cover him and Lakers can still win without mad dogging Yao. A lot teams occasionally do that to yao by being phisical, fronting, early doubling, backdoor stealing ball from his hand(usually approaching the end of the game)...because Rockets is not good enough for them to have to do that(or do that all the time) to win.

Now more and more teams choose to do that and do that early(LAKERS did that from 3rd quarter last night) to have a chance at Rockets. That's a great great sign!

What happened in the past is when yao suffered under this situation, we adjust a little. But when we figured something out, the next few opponents won't do that to yao and yao had good games and everything learned is gone. In some clutch games/playoff games opponents did that again, yao struggled again because he doesn't have enough 'practice' to counter that.

IMHO, I hope teams start doing it every game and doing it throughout the game. That is actually the ultimate respect for a player/team. You are THAT good to be treated this way every time!

Yao and rockets will be more and more proficient to handle that going forward. And that's the path to a championship.
