We took care of our own business at home, now we have to win TWO more to get the series. I don't understand how so many people on this board think we are going to just sweep the jazz or beat them easily. I mean come on, we aren't playing our best basketball right now, and i see we can lose the next 2 easily if we keep playing like this and at THEIR homecourt which is brutal.

This is far from over folks. We barely beat them the last 2 games, and if they just get some more open shots they missed to go in during the first 2 games, we will really have a hard time.

T-Mac and Yao will have to shoot better from the field. Tmac can't keep chucking up shots from the outside. (9-29 Fg) EVERYTIME he drives in their something good happens, so we have to hope he doesn't settle. And Yao can really get into foul trouble if the refs suddenly start to call some fouls on him.

I hope the Rockets are not over confident going into Utah, because they are not in a position to be.

The rockets played horribly at home and still managed to beat the Jazz twice. Our percentages from the field were awful, I doubt that trend keeps up in Salt Lake City. I think we will split the series in Utah and win it on our home floor.

There's another very shiny side to that coin...

... We already beat them in two games, and neither one of our stars has had an especially good game yet. As a matter of fact, NONE of our five starters (or Luther Head or Juwan Howard) have even had an average game offensively yet (other than Chucky last night), yet we still won twice.

Against the Mavs we were up 2 and 0 but we were way overconfidant.
This time around we played sucky and are up 2, maybe we realized that and will not be blindsided.

Totally agree with this thread. 2 years ago, we won the first 2 games ON THE ROAD...and lost the series. If I remember right, we were feeling pretty good after Game 2 then as well.

I feel pretty good about winning this series, but I've watched enough basketball in my 30+ years to know that a 7 game series can totally change in just one possession.

I don't think not counting your chickens before they've hatched makes you a jazz fan...

It wouldn't have been "over" even if we had played 2 supurb games at home, blowing them out by 20 each time.

There's enough historical precedence to know that a 2-0 series is not a lock no matter how you play in those games... the Rockets choked in 94 and found themselves down 0-2, then they got hammered by the Suns in 95 to be down 0-2, and the Mavs last year took care of the heat handidly and went up 2-0.

Any way you acheive a 2-0 advantage, you take it... but it doesn't absolve you from needing to win one on their court. The Rockets DO NOT want this thing to go 7... they have to win at least one at Utah.

If the Rockets only hit a decent percentage in both games, I don't think it would of been close. That being said, the Rockets cannot win game 3 playing the same way they played the first 2 games offensively.

interesting to see how many little wusses are on this board. up 2-0 on the mavs is the only thing that you can look to, as if the mavs series has ANYTHING to do with the jazz series.

two totally different teams, two totally different series. last time everyone was surprised rox were up 2-0, now noone is surprised rox are up 2-0.

what is going to happen is that you and a bunch of other losers are going to cry when rox may lose a game, and attributing this to being OVECONFIDENT.

in the end rox will win this series, you can bag that fool

Nice Reply, just as i expected. You don't remember we were up 2-0 against Dallas on the ROAD? Well TMAC+YAO were TEARING IT UP in the first 2 games compare to this one, and guess what, WE LOST. So why the hell do you thing you are a rockets fan if you aren't even worried.

I just wish the ROckets players can keep getting better and not settle with their play in the first 2 games, especially Luther and rafer.

you're a fool if you think this series is over. the posters implying that the thread starter is a jazz fan for being cautious heading into utah are idiots, and clearly haven't been followng rockets basketball (or houston sports in general) for very long.

This series so far reminds me of 3 year ago the one we played the Lakers. We would always lead the lakers at half and fell short at the end. After every game, we were saying the Lakers was so beatable and we just let the opportunity slip. The truth was that the Lakers was a better team than us. They didnt have to bring A game to beat us while we pretty much needed to pour our hearts out to win one, which is very difficult to repeat 4 times. Of course the series is not over, but I feel that we are better team than Utah and we will prevail in this series.

no, you're the fool to think that the jazz have a chance at beating the rox in a 7 game series with said kirilenko going AWOL.

what about rox bball (don't know what other sports have to do with what rox do) is making you nervous?
