I haven't seen many boards, but this board is the most knowledgeable board I have seen. It is easy to become a Rocket fan reading the BBS board for the inside info or knowlegeable opinions. Everytime I ask a question or other posters that ask questions, the opinions are almost all knowleageable and entertaining. Really don't have to pull up the Houston Chronicle to get a good recount of the game, even though the Chronicle seems to have a good sports section covering the Rockets. I live in the outskirts of Washington, DC in Frederick, Md but almost feel like I live in Houston through reading the BBS board. Rudy T seems like my kind of coach and through reading the board, seems popular in Houston. He seems to be a coach who stresses "teamwork" which in my opinion is hard to find in the NBA. The one word that describes the old Boston Celtics under the dynasties of Red Auerbach. After reading today's numerous posts, Rudy T may have not played many players, but seems like he is "molding a definite playoff team". FREDTERP PS: Very much enjoyed the "angry parent" thread on TRocket.
What's going on Fredterp, I live in Bethesda and am in the same boat you are. The only difference is that I am far from a Terps fan (G-town is going to take you guys in 2002!!!) This site has been a true blessing though
Dave, sorry to hear you are a Hoya, just kidding! I work down in DC as a budget analyst. Have been to Tommy Joes Restaurant in Bethesda for several Terp tv games in the past. I went to Steve Francis' alma mater, Montgomery Blair, son played with TRock. I echo your thoughts, BBS Clutch eliminates the distance between the Washington area and Houston. Last night when the Washington Wizards finished playing, I was looking up the Rocket boxscore way before looking up the Wizard boxscore. FREDTERP
