The NBA should take serious action. Suspension and fine is called for, IMO. The Butch Carter lawsuit was frivolous, but a Jason Williams/Rick Addleman v. Phil Jackass for defamation of character wouldn't. I used to like the guy. I thought his methods were interesting. I bought Sacred Hoops . But I've lost so much respect for this guy this past season. That definitely crosses the line. To compare Rick Adelman to the most ruthless and cruel criminal in the 20th century is just too much. Motivating players with racism and hate towards another person is not a style in which NBA coaches should do their job. The holocaust and the reign of the 3rd reich is nothing to joke about.
