And one of them is still out! So its really a 1 man team.

Coming into tonights game against LA, Yao and T-Mac both had the exact same number of points, 104. T-Mac scored 104 pts in 5 games (or 4.5 games as he was out 2nd half against Memphis), and Yao scored 104 pts in 6 games. Yao now has 136 with 19.4 PPG.

Yao and T-Mac are scoring 38% of Rox points. Even with T-Mac out, no one else on this team is contributing. Yao tonight scored 40% of the 79 pts.

I have no doubt Yao and T-Mac are both going to win Championship rings together. But none of the people around them today, including the coach, will be Rockets when that happens. Let's get serious, none of these other guys will be on a championship team. Maybe MoTay will be around. And Van Grumpy's coaching is just gonna tire and bore Yao and T-Mac to death, so he won't be around.

Why would anyone be surprised that Van Grumpy is saying nicer things this year about Yao, or that BS that he "needs to coach better", and seems more laid back?? That a--hole is just looking out for his job! Van Grumpy knows that the minute someone hears Yao or T-Mac b****ing about something, he's OUTTA HERE!! If Van Grumpy loses this job (and he will), he will be lucky to get back his job doing commentary on TNT! And he will be forever known as the guy who lost the job coaching Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady!

I am sure Yao and T-Mac will not complain at all when another coach like Phil Jackson comes along next year. Infact I have no doubt Yao and T-Mac will soon be sending signals that they are sick of Van Grumpy.

    :D

I would love to put this person on my Ignore List, but i have never put anyone on Ignore. I tend to want to convert people from the dark side...

Though i am becoming weary of this occupation, and it is a thankless effort.

I am beginning to understand, that he isn't from the dark side or whatever, he's just.....dumb.

I disagree. JVG would easily get his TNT gig back.

OMG, that is hilarious. When I saw that I was thinking, "How did bob718 get on my ignore list? He's been great at sharing video clips and stuff."

And jedinightwalnutcreek actually is on my ignore list, so the whole thing is pretty funny.

On a night when the team couldn't hit the broad side of a barn (34.6%, 30% from downtown), JVG coached the likes of Scott Padgett, Ryan Bowen, and Tyronn Lue to within 2 stupid Lue plays (the horrible attempt at an entry pass followed by a foul and the chuck out of bounds 10 feet over Yao's head), and a horrible no-call (the "blocked" dunk by Yao) of a win. This was two days after he did the same thing against one of the best teams in the NBA (Minnesota) when the game was determined by a questionable Jim Jackson offensive foul on a side out of bounds play. I won't argue that this is not a 2 man team, but JVG has been doing one helluva job coaching.

    LOL.

and yeah, jvg would be wise to not piss off people who can get him fired and that he can't get traded. of course, there are no indications he's pissed either of them off yet.

There was a quote in the paper like "some people in this lockerroom think I'm too demanding ... " - wonder who he was talking about.

JVG is a first rate coach. He KNOWS basketball. He is not perfect and he is certainly not cheery, but he can take the Rockets to a championship. Not with the present group of course. We are a few personnel moves away from being set. However, the Rockets are doing something that they really haven't done in five years, make progress. Yes, despite two losses, they are making progress. By All Star break, you will see.

I guess you has finally finished bashing Yao that JVG is your new punching bag for a while. Your title thread should have been " I'm a 2-nuts kid with no brain".

Just a hunch, but I have a feeling that every time JVG talks about intensity and all that, that he is referring to none other than Jim Jackson.

My feeling is Mo is not a fan of JVG. Everyone knows JVG is trying to unload Mo onto someone. I think there are two sides in the lockerroom. There's the Mo side. There's the JJ side. JJ knows JVG brought him into Houston, and he gets ton of playing time which keeps his value high on the market when his contract ends next year. Mo plays sporadically.

It's not JVG's fault that Rockets can't shoot. Seriously, beside Yao and Tmac...this team just can't shoot even when they're wide open. Howard sucks and it's true what they said about him....earning huge $$ for laying bricks.
