Rockets 7-7 with star player out for 6 weeks max. Some might think they are going to lose the rest without him and end up getting a lottery pick. Rockets season is determined by these next couple weeks. Steve coming back and getting himself back in shape will take another couple weeks, so its important to win as many games as possible. This teams needs help from everyone, even the rookies. Players who have to step up: GLEN RICE , Moochie Norris. During this time that stevies out, they can learn to play together and start winning. If that is the case then Houston will have gained something good from this injury. But if the rockets lay loose and just act like stevie will come back to help, they are thinking wrong. The players have to step up, do all little things possible. Stevie did everything on the court, Im not saying one player does his work but everyone has to contribute if this team wants to go anywhere. Hopefully the rockets will show some heart tonight, every win is a plus.
Rice, i my opinion, is the most important player over the next couple weeks. If he gets his shot on than we will win some games without Steve.
I'm sure glad we kept Tierre Brown . . . he's a capable backup for Moochie. Maybe Kelvin Cato will NOW step up . . . hahahahaha
Glen Rice is a big key. Hopefully he can start to score some points. He failed his first test tonight, though.
Let's not forget The Cat. Also I see Griff getting better minutes and producing. Mooch showed that he can help carry the load. If luck is on our side then the potential in the bench could surprise the league.
"The Cat" has no place on the Rockets except for water boy, and that's even a maybe. He's all talk, a lot of it good, but has proved nothing as to his ability to be a solid contributor to the team (other than blindly cheerleading). Cat, on the other hand, will be a huge key as to whether or not the Rockets can sustain playoff hopes will Franchise is down.
