    It's not really true. If you simply raise the tax rate, it will generate more tax revenues. There are no new loopholes being created to exploit - so unless the argument is that people won't bother exploiting loopholes for a 35% rate but will for a 38% rate, then the comment is 100% wrong.

    Marco Rubio is far from ready for prime time and there is a good chance he still isn't in 3-4 years. It won't take long to figure out.

    At best, I see him as a possible VP choice to add flavor to the ticket. That is, if he doesn't blow his chances with gaffes.

    Well, Herbert Walker didn't want to raise taxes on anyone and he beat Dukakis, then his kid beat Richards. The last guy who promised to balance a budget lost 49 states.
