They had a mention of it on Tech TV today but only showed a few seconds. I did a search on Google for "Xylophone Korean Girl" and lo and behold I found the link.
Ok, just making sure you weren't a pedo. I'm kidding, I was actually wondering if you went to some site with funky links and what not.
Wow, that takes me way back to high school times, when I tried out for all-area band in percussion. Most of the people trying out could play twice as good as that little girl could on the xylophone (and she's damn good). Ugh, it was disgusting. (Nevertheless, I actually did manage to make all-area once in three years... w00t!) That girl is gonna be sick on the xylophone by the time she's 10. I'm talking 3 sticks in both hands, playing chords and arpeggios at will. Crap, give her a vibraphone and let her work in a little pedal action, too.
Ha, I remember those days too. I was damn good but I could never try out because of that damn no pass-no play (Thanks, Ross Perot). This chick is a prodigy. She could give Bob Becker a run for his money.
Guess I'm a nerd too. Every year people thought I was going to make all-area and I didn't... a combination of nerves, bad luck, and taking the tryout pieces too fast. (apparently, if you take them horribly slow but don't miss anything, you get in) I still play some, but there's just not much you can do with it past high school and maybe college.
That kid is so sweet and AMAZING! Bet we won't hear the last of her. Makes my 4 years old Nephew feel like a stubborn kid. Well, he actually is.
